You know, if the teabaggers hadn't screwed up NY-23, HCR might have failed. |
|
We bascially had a one vote margin.
Thanks freaks! :kick:

...instead I expect Pelosi had an ordered list of people who would vote for, if the vote was really necessary. There were probably a dozen votes available, from reps who were sprung to vote nay as soon as the necessary 218 was reached. This was a common occurrence when the Dems last had the House, back in the early '90's.

3. Maybe, but it's still fun to blame the teabaggers. :) |

5. I'm guessing Pelosi had a half dozen or so |

who would've switched their vote but once she reached what she needed to pass she let them vote what would get them re-elected. She wouldn't have taken it to vote tonight if she truly only had a 1-2 vote margin, because if just one of the people that gave her assurances changed their mind, it would have been a disaster for her.

6. Yes, but how many teabaggers know that? |

We've just saved their lives, if they don't commit suicide over this.

I wish the No votes hadn't come in before the sufficient # of yes votes.
