That is really designed to make the insurance companies wealthier by increasing teh number of people in their for-profit pool?

As it stands now when one is unemployed they can choose to extend their old benefits at an outrageous cost no one can afford for long before rendering them destitute. With rising unemployment this trend will continue increasing the number of people without health insurance. I personally know friends who work full time, get no insurance through work and cannot afford health care. If the public option (starting later) does not cost significantly less how does this help those who already can't afford health care afford health care? What's to stop those 45,000 people from dying before we begin this plan? Why are we punishing those that clearly cannot afford care with penalties for not buying insurance out of pocket?
Health care should not be for profit.

The House does not record "No, but" votes, it records "yes" or "no".
Kucinich, the Blue Dogs and the GOP all voted "No" to HCR.
There is nothing dishonest about that statement.

if it becomes law, can be changed. No bill, means nothing, you have to start from square zero, and there is no guarantee that they will have the votes to accomplish that in the near future

Oh wait, that's an insult to Lieberman - he's actually passed a few bills. Kucinich is a grandstanding asshole that stands for nothing except advancing his own brand. Nothing - absolutely nothing more.
If you want to support a lefty that actually does something, support Bernie Sanders.

29. What medical conditions do DK's principle & character pay for? |
|
This is cold comfort to anyone who can't obtain health insurance due to a preexisting condition (come hell or high water), who has run out their lifetime limit on coverage, or work for employers who don't offer anything resembling 'affordable' insurance to their workers. Lofty ideals don't make a very satisfying meal.

The DLCers know that the bill was authored by the insurance companies, and that's why they're attempting to smear Dennis for opposing it.

10. Kucinich voted against the health care bill |
|
along with a few other progressives. They're calling him out as too ideologically pure to be retained.
Personally, I'm glad a few progressives voted against this one. The Stupak amendment is completely unacceptable.
Had the vote been closer, my opinion would be different. However, there were enough favorable votes for progressives to make their stand known.

40. Because our party still isn't Republikun enough for some. |
|
It seems principles and human rights are just too expensive to ask our masters to bear.
This bill helps just as many people as bankruptcy "reform", welfare "reform", and TARP has, but we were all supposed to just take our beating, lick the boot, and crawl back to our hovel until we're called again.
But as our majority shrinks away and the Republiks regain the power to finish the job once and for all, it will be somebody else's fault.
