Edited to add source: Huffington post. And also to add: Go here to see what they make: http://www.subcal.com/ Are you suprised that they'd put out such a vulgar advertisement?

6. Oh, thanks a hell of a lot, Redstone.
I clicked on the link and my virus scanner thing freaked out.

That being said, that is one sick ad and those bastards seem to be selling convo kits so that people with pretty kick-butt 'arms can convert them to .22 cal and save money on practice ammo.

I don't get it.

Why practice with .22 so you can shoot 9s?

Not quite the same velocity or trajectory.

I don't get it.

8. Conv kits for those nasty little MAC-10 type fuckers. You know, those 2-inch-barrel things
Edited on Wed Apr-18-07 10:22 PM by Redstone
that are just ideal for say, deer hunting, or target shooting, or defending your family from the Bad Guys, or just maybe the occasional drive-by shooting.

The kind of guns the Second Amendment really, REALLY meant that we should be able to buy like a loaf of bread.

Because a well-regulated militia is going to repel an invader with THOSE, right? You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with one if you were INSIDE the barn.

29. I think you mean the Tec-9
Frankly, I wish more criminals would use Tec-9 style guns. They are the worst ergonomic design possible for a gun. Having the magazine forward of the trigger makes it much harder to carry concealed as well as drastically shortening the barrel without shortening the overall gun length. Shorter barrel equals less muzzle velocity and energy. And a 30-round magazine is not an issue because you can get 30-round magazines for regular pistols as well.

It's a stupid gun bought by shallow people that put cool looks over effectivness. "A fool and his money are soon parted", and the guys that made the TEC=9 are laughing it up on some tropical beach someplace.

9. PS: Sorry about the virus thing. I didn't see it, because I use a VERY secure browser. But I'm not
at all surprised that those scumbuckets would be engaged in a bit of the infection business after seeing their ad.

.22 ammo is 1/10 of the cost of 9mm, that why.

21. That's like practicing with ping-pong balls...
so you can bat against Billy Wagner.

Do you just want to pull the trigger or practice real?

The fat rounds slap your hands a hell of a lot more than an over-weighted weapon that is firing ultra-light rounds.

Just going out and shooting is a start, not even close to a true test.

28. Cheap practice ammo
You can practice your grip, your stance, your trigger pull, and everything else with the same gun you would use to defend your life. Same weight, same heft, same controls, same sights, etc. Except the ammo costs a tenth or a fifteenth of what 9mm ammo does.

The gun nuts have a real thing for kids with guns. The worst of them can't wait to get guns into the hands of toddlers, from what I can tell :eyes:.

This Republican nut Susan Tabor, who was a Michigan rep. was pushing for kids as young as 9 or 10 to have access to guns, if I remember right.

11. I kept looking at the little girl, thinking "What's the big deal?"
Then I saw the backdrop.

I hate guns. I fucking hate them and I can say pretty categorically that if you have one of those things in your closet I'm going to recognize you for the freaking horror-show you are.

God I hate guns.

guns or not. I've had all the guns in my life I'll ever need and I'll never have another one in my life, but I have to say this would be revolting even if it were an ad for, say, car tires.

30. Two things that should not be together.
Little girls holding guns.

I can deal with the cute little blonde girl. I can deal with the assorted guns behind her. I am really not comfortable with the two of them mixed.

Somebody at Fleming Firearms must have some real callouses on their knuckles.

32. I don't see anything sexual about it...
I'm sure that the person who made it just thought "Oh isn't that cute!" and that the play on words with "butt" was just cute as well. In that respect it's no different than the old Coppertone ads.

However, the association of little kids and lethal weaponry IS disturbing.

33. What kind of maniac would photograph a sweet, little girl in
front of a wall of assault weapons? That's the obscenity here. Our society has gone from the innocence of the Coppertone girl and puppy to this. It might not be pornography in the sexual sense, but it's sure obscene.
