Holy Vomit. Dinesh D'Souza comments on VT.

I guess I should expect this form the former paramour of Ann Coulter...

Notice something interesting about the aftermath of the Virginia Tech shootings? Atheists are nowhere to be found.

My other post was in the Religion/Theology

But, I had to express my disgust in the GD. Why do people continue to allow themselves to believe, "Oooh if progressives (read: evil godless materialistic heathens commies) hadn't taught man is a monkey, we'd all be living in Edenistic Utopia right now. What the hell!

Does this fill some visceral reptilian brain need? Why does God never stop the fuckin' bullets? I could shout quite clearly because he doesn't fuckin' exist, but many believers will fall into special pleading to get around the obvious. The concept of Sin as theorized by Judeo-Christian-Islamic thinkers is wrong. There was never a Fall of Man.

2. Most of the readers who submitted comments pretty much made mincemeat of his argument.

3. Are people like D'Souza and Coulter even Christians? Do they go to church, ever? Or do they merely
cynically grind bucks out of their Bible thumping rube audience, laughing all the time while snorting lines of coke?

7. Bingo!
I'm doubting that the Coultergeist spends much time in church.

4. I hope D'Souza doesn't own a gun
He sounds like he shares Cho's warped Christian Martyr Complex.

Making religious hay off this tragedy is simply vile.

5. Where were the atheists.....?
Edited on Wed Apr-18-07 10:53 PM by pepperbear
some of them were in shock. others gave comfort, some of them might have even tried to help during the shootings. Still others called congressmen and asked for better safer saner gun control laws.

you know where they AREN'T? They are not writing inappropriate editorials during a time of national mourning, especially ones that are meant to attack and politicize a personal belief.

11. I would respectfully disagree.
Not that I'm defending D'Souza - his position on this issue, like his position on just about every issue from what I've gathered, is complete rubbish and douchebaggery - but some people, myself included, do believe that prayer can make a difference. Perhaps it's just the placebo effect, but I've seen in my own life how prayer can (at least seem to) make a difference. :hi: Peace.
