End funding for prison health care and redirect those funds to women |
|
Does anyone else find it strange that murderers have more health care rights than women?

seeing that you're attempting to conflate the 'apples' of medical care for the imprisoned (all of whom are not murderers) with the 'oranges' of insurance coverage for abortions.
I agree that the Stupak-Pitts amendment is a travesty, but I'm not about to advocate opening a constitutional can-o'worms by denying medical care to the incarcerated. That's an absurd argument not worth consideration.

Even though prisoners lose a number of constitutional rights while incarcerated, they are still afforded a minimum standard of living, and that includes medical care. Otherwise, we may as well take them out back of the courthouse and put two rounds in their heads after the trials are concluded. The state must maintain a veneer of civilization - even with the most violent criminals.
Did someone take a dump in your Lucky Charms this morning or is this your normal disposition? Must be hell to carry around sick fantasies about torturing criminals all the time.
