Poll question: The Fate of Gonzo: Will he quit, be forced out, or survive?

Will Gonzo resign, be forced out by overwhelming force from Congress, or will he survive as a member of the "Texas Mafia" of GWB?

2. My best hunch says he'll step down in the Friday news dump and move
the wife & kids to Chile and open up a bait shop.

I think he knows it's his calling, and it's time to answer it.

3. Bush is digging in his heels on everything, now, because he doesn't
like opposition. Bush gives not the least goddamn what public opinion is, neither do any of the Bush-sucker Republicans like Hatch and Sessions and Brownback. And don't forget, the Democrats are spelunkers - they like to go caving...

8. Indeed!
Hatch's first question-statement this morning was "Mr AG, do you let the polls tell you how to do your job? (paraphrased)."
Thank you Mr. Orrin Hatch/repugnantcan/nose up Bush's butt - Sir!

5. "Resign" a la Rummy. After Boobya shows his "loyalty" before cutting him loose.
"My good friend Alberto Gonzales has tendered his resignation to remove unfounded controversy disrupting the Justice Department. He has done a splendid job and the nation is grateful for his service. I have decided to appoint a new Attorney General in the spirit of bi-partisanship. John Bolton will be appointed during the next recess."

6. He will step down shortly. He's already signed to play "Tattoo" in
a major motion picture to be made of Fantasy Island.

7. If Congress has any balls or integrity (which doesn't appear
to be the case) Gonzass will be outed by them. I really hope this happens...
