Wow, Gonzales is dumb
Like *, he's a clueless dumbass put in a position in which he should never have been placed. It's painfully obvious to me listening to the Gonzales hearing that he is in way over his head:

- in scholarship, he can't give articulate reasons for why he did what he did, or what statutes he thinks he was enforcing,

- in management, he can't give objective reasons of personnel performance why these people were fired. Hell, he doesn't appear to have been very much involved in the managing of the day to day running of the Justice Dept anyway. I'm surprised he knows how many people work at Justice.

- In rhetoric and debate, I know junior high schoolers that could put in a better performance than that. It is as if he is totally surprised that the Senators are as well prepared as they are. And they should be. As he should be.

I used to think he was cruel, possibly evil (the torture memo). But listening to him for an extended period, I realize Gonzales is way undertalented for his job. And that is probably worse than being evil, because I don't think he realizes what he's doing.

He should be back in texas preparing wills and trust funds for the oil class. That's what he would be good at, not AG.

2. to do wills and trusts properly, takes a lot of smarts
in essence, you have to predict for bad events for a generation or more.

you have to plan for evil, illness, changes in circumstances, and both massive increases in money and just the opposite.

Wills and trusts, done properly, are a hard, complex task.

But, you can also pick up a computer program and plug and chug, if you simply want to make a fast buck.

3. you've obviously never
prepared a Trust Agreement for anyone. Not the easiest job in the world and certainly something I think Gonzo would fail miserably at.

4. Yes, he is dumb.
That is why he is part of this administration.
It is a prerequisite for a position in Bush's world.

But, that sob has brass balls to just stand there and lie and
get up in their face to defend himself. It would be a good trait
in prison quard, but in a position that requires intellectual skills
and knowledge of the constitution, he's a disaster.

Rice is a very difficult techie school. He also graduated from the University of Texas LAW SCHOOL which is difficult!! What an idiot. They must have passed him under duress, just like Shrubbie at Yale.

10. His ability to squirm and lie effectively is questionable at best.
He needs to spend more time with Rove. He has mastered the "uh" and "I don't recall" lines but his delivery is in need of work.

15. Who is telling Gonzo what to do?
Someone must be directing him. It is not possible to come up so many pro- bushie ideas by one self especially if that someone does not appear to be super smart.

14. Anyone who prostrates themselves and be used by a President with a vile agenda
and obvious intention to throw our Constitution in our face, spit, and laugh (plus kill) has to be 'lacking'.

16. He's not only dumb...
...he's a lying sack of shit.

And he stutters even on the softballs.

And he has "no memory" of pretty much anything relevant.

And he grandstands with every question -- luckily the Democrats on the committee are tired of it and simply cut him off when they feel he has answered their questions, not allowing him to chew up time.

He is cunning, but not smart.

18. he shouldn't just be fired because of his shenanigans, he should be canned
because he has no idea what he's doing. He seems to be using the defense of--"Yes i'm incompetent but i'm the cream of the crap" The peter principle working ot in the bush admin indeed.
