NASA: Water Found in Moon Crater

LOS ANGELES (AP) NASA says a spacecraft that purposely slammed into the moon has turned up evidence of water.

Scientists have been analyzing a mile-high plume of debris kicked up by the Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite last month after it crashed into a crater near the moon's south pole.

On Thursday, they presented preliminary data that show the presence of water in the crater.
