If you are angry with the Democrats in office right now.... just remember |
|
that we could have President Palin making decisions for us even as you read this.
Yes, I know McCain is alive. It is possible that the strain of office may have already taken it's toll on him.
As you watch Sarah roll out her book tour for the next couple of weeks, consider the alternative to supporting the Democratic Party.

9. Primary ALL the bastards! And try to replace them with Pro-Choice Dems |
|
And yeah, I really don't care if we lose the majority, if this if what the majority has to be.They don't represent us anyway. There is a host of other issues they are bad on as well. Anyone who would support Stupak, or anything like it isn't really a Democrat and should be ousted.Period.I will support the NOW primary effort.

10. I couldn't agree more |

The DLC and Blue Dog components of the Democratic Party have reduced it to little more than a copy of the GOP (legislation/politics wise). I hope voters begin to actively primary them OUT, replacing them with populist candidates. One corporate owned party is enough, we don't need two. I also hope to see candidates supportive of term limits and campaign finance reform. Enough is enough.

was going to vote for McCain. After McCain picked Palin he changed his mind within a couple of weeks and said he was voting for Obama.
I thought Bush was bad but Sarah would have been far far worse.

|
and keeping dems out of power and putting in someone who may not do everything they want but will do some of the things. However, the right knows how to make incremental changes into something bigger over time.

The moderate and conservative Democrats can pass any kind of corporatist garbage policies and legislation, and if anyone objects they can then say, "If you think this is bad, imagine what it would be like with Palin in the White House and a Republican majority in Congress. Better stick with us."
Thanks, but I'd prefer a Democratic government, not one that's Republican-in-sheep's-clothing.
Democratic officials of America, unite! You have nothing to lose but your corporate payola! (Doesn't have that certain ring to it, does it? I know...I'm working on it.)

the 64 dems who voted for it. Gimme a break. We were advised to vote Dem for years because of choice and almost the first significant thing they do when they have control of all three branches is attach an amendment like Stupak to a history making Health Care Reform Bill? What are we supposed to be "grateful" we weren't screwed sooner? And I speak as a lifelong Dem and a woman who is beyond disgusted. Remember the Supreme Court, we were told.Remember choice! Funny. Now when both were under threat, we still are unsure of Sotomayer on choice, all we are threatened with is Palin. Palin is disgusting. It appears that is many instances,at least some of the 64, and some in the senate, unless a primary challenge is mounted, women won't have anyone to vote for.

If this kind of ill-considered and simplistic crap is the best you can come up with this evening, take a break. That way, you will spare yourself the intense embarrassment you are bound to feel when you review your posts tomorrow afternoon---when you're sober.
Blind support of whoever ran with a "D" after their name gave us Senators Leiberman, Nelson, Baucus and---that wonderful example of what it means to be a Democrat---Zell Miller.
If that's "harsh", so be it. Been sippin'.

25. You're Right! If We Hadn't Elected Obama, We Might Still Be in Iraq! |
|
And Afghanistan! And we might still be torturing people overseas! And Guantamo might still be open! And Bush and Co wouldn't have had to pay for their crimes! And we wouldn't have single payer health care! And we would have given the banks billions so they could give their executives million dollar bonuses of tax-payer money! And gay people wouldn't be able to get married or serve openly in the military!
It sure is a good fucking thing we don't have a Republican in the White House! It would be like nothing's changed at all!

when DU fills up with their shills reinforcing the DLC line of "Shut and take what we give you...it could be worse!"
Liberals deserve what they get (i.e. nothing) as long as they keep buying what the DLC is selling.

Yes, I know Obama is "electable." It is possible that the strain of corporate DLC pressure may have already taken it's toll on him.
As you watch Obama roll out his bailouts, health care "plan," and pro-business policies for the next couple of weeks, consider the alternative to supporting the media-created "electable" version of the Democratic Party.

um......................... what would the difference be again? At least Palin is easy on the eyes and when she screwed up constantly I wouldn't feel bad having to rip her to shreds. I would gladly do 8 yrs of Palin standing on my head if my kids could have a chance to one day see real dems in office. With Obama doing the DLC shuffle for 8 yrs and then another 4 or 8 for the reps, hell, my kids could be 30 something by the time we get "change we can believe in".
Some people here think this is a football game and its so important our teams wins. Us issues people are already writing Obama off because he has had almost a year and other than make rich people richer and threaten more war and more nafta's he hasn't done shit for the working stiffs or the poor. What would be different with Palin? I lived through Bush and I can make it through Palin. What counts for me is my kids having a chance at the American dream. Now that Obama got his dream, he forgot all about us.
100 million families in this country divided by the 3 trillion spent on bailouts and wars over the last year. Hmmmm, we could have mailed a check for 30k to every family in the US. We got 250 bucks.(for 4 of us) Thanks for the stimulus Obama.
If you really want to depress yourself just you-tube Obama speaking BEFORE he got elected.
