4. I never get tired of seeing it. Saw it live and in person once, and the sound was something you'll
never forget.

Saw it land at Edwards AFB as well.

I'm a Space Junkie.

11. OMG...the Concussion from the Sound Waves is Unbelievable!
I saw the launch of the 4th shuttle mission years ago and I can still remember the sensation. I felt like my chest was being pounded on and the brilliance of the flame plume; it was the brightest thing I had ever seen. I am a space junkie as well. I am so very worried about the future for our space program.

Perfect launch! I can breathe again!

16. Now, for anyone wanting to see the Shuttle and ISS while they orbit together, here's a link.
This website is bang on. If it says you'll be able to see the ISS at 1801 in the NW, by golly that's when and where it will appear. It's pretty self-explanatory.

Safely in orbit and external tank separation went flawlessly, now I can breathe again.

Glad to have shared that with fellow Space Junkies!

Happy Viewing.

21. Well, fine, as long as it's not going to the moon for a bombing raid, or...
to help corporate greed-heads steal moon water and mess up the ecosystem there...

;)

BTW, also a space junkie here. My dad until a couple of months ago was helping make the tiles on the leading wing and nose. Well, not the tiles proper, the poly-carbon-carbon coating.

26. What a beautiful launch today!
I sat at my computer and watched NASA TV's coverage of the launch. Very beautiful!

We had launch tickets, but we didn't make it to Florida due to a friend's funeral. Maybe next time.
