14. i got the shot, also due to health problems... |
|
which is why i was in the priority group to begin with.
the county had scheduled 4 weeks of 'clinics', every tuesday, at 4-9pm at various high schools around the county- 3 different locations each week.
i went to the first one at the closest high school, and got there an hour early, but there was no line yet...i waited in my car, and at 3:30, i saw more people heading toward the building, so i went back, and the line was about 60-70 people long, so i got in it. by the time i got in, got my shot and got back to my car, it was 4:20, and the line stretched on for blocks and blocks. there was a news helicopter overhead- and the same scene was played out at the other two locations as well.
the county used up so much of it's supply that they had to cancel the rest of the clinics- so i was REALLY glad that i went when i did.

15. we didnt have any problems getting ours, the wife and daughter had to wait an hour or so |
|
but me and the boy were in and out of the health center in about 5 minutes. Though ive heard that its harder to get them now, i dont know if its because so many people originally were not going to get it or believed the wierd shit about it and now there is a rush to get vaxxed  glad we did it though due to it being rampant now in the local school system...

7. Other: had the flu already. |
|
It may or may not have been H1N1, but the symptoms matched.

I am in a very low priority group and I am a bit lazy about going to the doctor or health clinic.
I am not against the shot, but I probably won't get one.

24. Well said. I'm not in a high risk group, so I'll let them get it first. After that I may get it, |
|
if it's recommended for "old farts". ;)

18. Going to visit my brother over Christmas. He's currently undergoing . . . |
|
Chemo and radiation therapy, which has knocked his immune system for a loop. The doctor says, "no flu/H1N1 innoculation, no visit."
I'd get it anyway, but it's more intensely necessary at this particular time.

27. DU is full of people who believe very weird stuff on no evidence whatsoever!! |
|
And we routinely prove it on a wide variety of topics.
Like this one.
