What can I do to help Palin win the GOP nomination for '12? |
|
Besides giving her money or even buying her stupid book (which I will download from Torrent eventually or borrow for a Koolaid drinker), what can I do?
I really want to help.

A lot of us remember what a godsend the candidacy of Bush the Stupid was, a man with a terrible record as governor of Texas, a mental midget, a man who couldn't even manage to dodge the draft correctly, an overgrown punk.
Enough people listened to his folksy delivery and thought he was just like them that the election was close enough to steal--and it was.
Some of us are old enough to remember the candidacy of Reagan, a dull witted, ultra radical corporate pitchman who had a terrible record as governor of California. Enough people thought his folksy manner proved he was just like them and he got elected.
Palin is just another right wing dimwit in this succession of right wing dimwits. She's able to convince emotional voters that she's Mom and apple pie and country all rolled up into a beauty queen package; basically, she's a suburban mommy just like them. Never mind her terrible record, the emotional voter doesn't consider that kind of stuff.
Make no mistake, the woman is dangerous to this country, and anything to help her financially would be counterproductive.

Reagan and Bush II didn't have HUGE negative ratings nationally in the years leading to their run for President. Palin does. She is known nationally, and is widely unpopular.

12. She's got the same kind of fan base the other two had |
|
a hard core of Jesus addled fanatics that will literally wait nine hours in a cold rain for a glimpse of her.
Emotional voters forget all about negatives when it come time to pull that lever. They always vote for the person they can relate to on a purely superficial level.
That is why the stupid woman is so dangerous.

14. She has the same fans, but the uninformed voter didn't know them. They know her |
|
and they won't vote for her.

We've seen it before.

17. Reagan got a lot more than religious voters |
|
He put together a huge base in 1980. So-called Reagan Democrats will never vote for Palin.

3. Lionel was talking about this on a rerun I just listened to. |
|
He said don't slam her, give her support, get her nominated! Nothing can be better than Sarah against Obama!
Don't start with the we said that about Reagan stuff either. Reagan at least was the head of the Hollywood union and could speak coherant sentences!
Even my nutso Pub inlaws think Sarah is a nutball!

4. Don't mind those who can't tell the difference between learning from history... |
|
and being chained to history.
I will say, however, that we'd be better off having Blithering Idiot run in 2016, when we expect to have a somewhat more difficult election. You may wish to aim for that.

The enormous stupidity of the amerukun people, the corrupt and corporatized media -- anything is possible. Look at those freaking tea-baggers, I see people walking into my PROGRESSIVE bar with those damn tee shirts on... While the sideshow of a Palin run is fun to imagine in the primaries driving all the more sane candidates to the right in a stampede, i'm not sure i want the Stoopid American Public even having the choice of a Palin presidency, especially in these Latter Days of Electronic Voting, when the corporations may decide for us...

I really don't think Americans are THAT stupid. Her get the Repub nominee? Sure, it could happen easy if there is no competition. It would be a sympathy "WHO ELSE WE A GUNNA VOTE FUR" vote for the GOP, and I think afterwards, Sarah just being batshit nuts babble on Sarah will crumble under her own stupidity.
Seriously, every time I hear this woman speak, I ask myself "WHAT THE FUCK IS SHE TALKING ABOUT??"
It's not her point/counter point that annoys me, but JESUS CHRIST, this woman does nothing but fucking babble on and on about absolutely nothing trying to act like she's making some type of intelligent point about something.
WTF? Come on here, I know LOTS of people who are Republican in this red state who can't stand that babbling idiot.
She has no points to make about anything!!
Jesus Christ no I WON'T support getting Sarah Palin nominated.
The Republican party does not deserve to be punished THAT much.

13. Amen. This is a case of people thinking the media is representative |
|
Somehow. She just makes news for the blithering idiot media. It does not mean that she could get the nomination. People care about American Idol more than politics. Palin is that kind of celebrity. It would be like worry about Paris Hilton getting the nominatino.

or at least put one in office twice with Bush. I never want to see that again. And as divided as the nation is, it could happen again. Actually, she who should NEVER be mentioned, scares the crap out of me. And never forget, only the stupidest of the stupid repukes vote in primaries and she could well win. Many who Repugs who voted Dem cannot be counted on to vote Dem again. With a choice between A repuke and a Democrat, for whatever reason, just enough would vote for her and the Fringe RW would promote the hell out of her.

15. Her disapproval is 58% and she does not have the backing of the Reich Oligarchs |
|
She will run for the nomination to keep herself in the spotlight for subsequent easy money deals/gigs.
