1. But he does make nice concrete shoes for the GOP. |
|
Make no mistake ... the conseervatives are on his ass because he's a liability. Think chicken coop and pecking order - the GOP is 'loyal' only to the head rooster.

6. CNN had another poll earlier that I completely disbelieved. |
|
More thought that B* shouldn't fire Gonzass than thought he should and a large number were unsure. This of course was prior to his non-testimony.

15. I'd like to see him tarred & fethered and ridden out on a rail. |
|
But resignation will work as a starter.

Here you have an enemy of the people, a Bush loyalist, who also happens to be a complete stumblebum and who has disgraced himself so thoroughly today that even the GOP can't stand him any more. And you want to get rid of this guy? Who's going to replace him? Some slicker, more media-savvy, less confrontational android pushing the exact same agenda.
And simply because his name isn't Gonzales, he'll be more successful at continuing BushCo's war on the people. Gonzales is now radioactive. Nobody wants to associate with him. He even got the official Bush kiss of death the other day when the little pissant issued some garbled statement of support.
Given all that, why on earth would anyone want to get rid of him? He'll be the subject of intense scrutiny for the duration of his term -- may it last quite a while longer -- and will be the object of jokes, Letterman monologues and political cartoons as long as he's in the public eye.
This is the kind of enemy you want. Marginalized, comical, incoherent, ineffectual, useless to the regime. Of course he's an utter prick, which is a mandatory characteristic for all BushCo employees, but he's not likely to do much further damage.
Of course, I could be wrong. But I don't think so. Pardon me while I go Freep that poll.
