Indonesia communications minister mirrors American religious right rhetoric and hypocrisy
BBC News reports: Indonesia's communication and information minister, Tifatul Sembiring, blames natural disasters on immoral television shows and sales of porn DVDs! Just like shortly after 9/11, the Rev. Jerry Falwell said about homosexuals, feminists, pro-life advocates, the American Civil Liberties Union, People for the American Way, and liberals in general: "I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'"

Back in March 2009, however, Indonesian Women's Solidarity accused Sembiring of practicing polygamy. A Malaysian newspaper reported that he admitted to it. Hmm, porn=bad, pimping=good in Indonesian "family values" now?
