How many copters have we lost in Iraq in the last week? |
|
I ask because even a google news search appears to be overlapping.
On the way back from a doctor's visit I heard the Fox News update on how great a job the Iraqi military did today in rouding up "insurgents"-how many they got and how many they killed and oh yeah thrown at the end of the report was that two US troops died when their heclicopter went down.
Now last week there was one story about a copter filled with a lot of US brass that went down and then this weekend I saw some cellphone footage of the smoke from another downed copter. Those weren't the same were they?
Anyone know what the number is in the last week?

1. At least two - who knows though? |

And a few things about all these reports that just doesn't jive. I've heard that the Iranians are responsible for providing the "insurgency" (whomever they are) with the necessary tools to bring down a helicopter. I've also heard that the 250-300 "insurgents" killed over the weekend are of an unknown religion. AND I've heard that it's primarily the Sunnis who are causing our troops the most grief, not the Shia.
It's clear to me the Pentagon is making the Sunnis the bad guys and siding with the Shia, but then they are trying to tie Iran to attacks on our troops. I think they're just making shit up.
