That’s my Desk DeeCee, hard at busybody work, informing me further of what this column has more than hinted at before: that the U.S. Chief of Grief, George W. Bush, has a wife (by the name of Laura, ‘course) who’s so damn put out by the teetotaling Texan’s return to drinking that she had to get outta the White House. Woo-hoo! That be first-class First Lady dish there, my darlin’ goss lovers!

Oh, for the official record, neither the president’s press office nor the president’s wife’s press office would comment. Which I find damn insulting, as I help pay those persnickety peep’s salaries!

he started drinking again at least a couple of years ago, according to the rumor mill.

Bush never did any rehab so it's not at all unlikely he's drinking again and has been drinking probably not to long after 9/11 (my guess).

Being the drunk that he is, and considering that he beat Laura when the twins were babies, I haven't been surprised about the reports she moved into a hotel room in DC.

sister mentioned last month she watched a press conference of Chimpie and he was slurring and looked drunk...and on top that wasn't it reported (very down-low) that Chimpie called Laura the "C**t" word in public...

However, all of us who have ever lived with a drunk knew he was blotto at the G-8. We all recognized the slightly unfocused eyes, the shuffling gait, the slack jaw, and the disinhibited behavior.

We also recognized the look Putin was giving him across the banquet table, "How can he possibly get this shitfaced drunk on two beers?"

7. I've never really put much credence into the rumors that

he's drinking again. I could go both ways. I can see that he would start, but I can also picture him on
downers or (very likely) bored to tears having to play president.

The drinking game was downing a shot every time he said 'improper'. The writer was glad/sorry he hadn't downed a shot every time gonzo said "I don't recall"

Before she met this Evil Toady she was a Eugene McCarthy Democrat. That's pretty damned "left". It had to eventually blow up. She supports choice, etc. How she has stayed married to him for as long as she has and why she married him in the first place, is another question. I read something that said if she ever disagrees with him, he gets red-faced and screams at her. She should have stuck with our side.
