Lieberman unlikely to be punished, Senate sources say |
|
In today's Washington Post, regarding Lieberman's opposition to any form of the public option: A number of senators are privately furious, Senate sources said. But they added that it is unlikely the Democratic caucus would take punitive action, such as stripping his chairmanship of the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee -- at least not in this Congress. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/12/07/AR2009120703715.html?hpid=topnews

Just like that 4th grade tart in the South Park episode where they go on that day time talk show. "I do what I want! Whatever!"

7. The senate approves of Lieberman. |
|
He is doing the job assigned to him. If it were not so, he would be punished.
Stop folling yourselves that Lieberman is so crafty or skillful or lucky or whatever. He is doing his job. It's why he survived his election. Lieberman IS the Senate.
They are all corporatists. This is all theater.

13. Let's let We The People decide. Let's see...MAJORITY of Americans WANT a public option. |
|
And lieberman OPPOSES it.
So let's vote on you, joe.
Actually, the ONLY Americans who DON'T want a public option are the rich insurance corporations. republicans who have their public option insurance and say "fuck you" to everyone else, and the deeply dumb republicans who are so easily duped conned tricked and manipulated by both the former groups so as to side against their own and their loved ones' best interests.
