Rachel Maddow is wicked smart. |

I was watching her interview with the "turn teh Gay back to straight" guy, and she was like Bobby Fisher in a Chess match. She'd set the guy, (Cohen)up, and then bam, destroy him. As with any Chess master, she was 10 moves ahead the whole time.
Imagine her on MTP?

1. MTP? Please no. It was hard to watch with the elf, impossible to watch now. |

2. She impressed me. Made him eat his words again and again |
|
He was reduced to saying he would take those quotes out of the next edition, and he tried vainly to have her read his quotes 'in context' only to have her do it and not change a thing. She did her homework. She read his book, and she didn't let him off the hook.
I would be very afraid if she disapproved of something I did and decided to cover it. I'm sure she's beginning to strike fear in the hearts of even the dumbest like Inhofe who thinks her opposition to what he does makes him more popular and successful.

3. I don't get to see TRMS very much any more because of our schedules |
|
with the kids, etc. I'm gonna look for this in the video section.
And yes, Rachel Maddow is wicked smart. Brilliant. She's the kind of person I wish I knew and had for a friend.

5. I agree she's smart but I wasn't all that impressed with this particular interview. |
|
I think Dylan or Chris Matthews wouldn't have dropped the subject of 'race' in the book so quickly. And they wouldn't have been quite as emotional about it. I think they realized too late that they inadvertently promoted this guys books/programs.

6. she always says that she questions having |
|
people like him on the show because they get a chance to promote their agenda.
But then she does get a chance to expose the bs also.
It's a trade off. She pretty much showed him for a liar, a con, and a fool. I think it was worth the risk.

8. He was playing not to lose though |
|
basically denied everything. It was getting pretty pathetic. I would have more respect for him if he stood up for his own material.

10. That guy was a train wreck. |
|
I give him a few more years before he either goes crazy trying to be something he's certainly not, or just comes out again and sheds the whole bullshit charade.
I have this feeling, that after that interview, he went home and did some very hard thinking.
I never will understand anyone who is into self loathing.

11. -2 points for spelling |
|
It's spelled "wicked smaht," or at least that's how it sounds in my neck of the woods.
