Teabaggers to 'storm(trooper) Senate offices' until forced to leave
from thinkprogress:

Tea Party activists to ‘storm Senate offices’ and ‘stay there until they force us to leave.’

Tea Party Patriots — the right-wing organizers controlled by FreedomWorks — sent an urgent call to action today, asking supporters to come to Washington December 15th to “storm Senate offices” in order to “play out the role of patients waiting for treatment in government controlled medical facilities.” The e-mail says organizers plan to “stay there until they force us to leave,” and incites supporters to “flex our muscle” and “hold the line in our fight against the government takeover of health care”:

It is time, once again, to flex our muscle and exert that influence to hold the line in our fight against the government takeover of healthcare. The Senate is busy working on the details of a government run health care bill and they would like to pass it as quickly as possible. Some of them are under the false impression that we’ve given up and gone away just because they haven’t heard much from us in the past few days. (...)

So here’s the plan… We call this plan “Government Waiting Rooms”. The intention is to go inside the Senate offices and hallways, and play out the role of patients waiting for treatment in government controlled medical facilities. As the day goes on some of us will pretend to die from our untreated illnesses and collapse on the floor. Many of us plan to stay there until they force us to leave.

The Washington Post reports today that FreedomWorks will launch a “reorganized PAC,” drawing on its 500,000 registered members to influence electoral politics, and President Matt Kibbe said his organization plans to build a “grass roots machine” to make President Obama’s campaign network “look obsolete.” Other Tea Party Activists are beginning to form PACs as well, and a recent Rasmussen poll shows a hypothetical Tea Party to be more popular than the GOP.

14. I think you missed my point, span. Idiots, indeed. But while they are
showing up, we have no counter to them that I know of. AFAIAC, it's a problem that our side has no comparable counter organization to their tactics and actions. Gives them the upper hand in influencing Capitol Hill, whom we know is just a stupid as the teabaggers are.

3. Perhaps a little tear gas and pepper spray
will teach these johnny-come-lately protestor types what it's really like to be in the middle of a protest.

I volunteer to man the water cannon. I think it would be fun to be on the other side for a change.

4. is it their corporate sponsorship that makes them so effective?
The radical lefties Never get any good press and rarely do we ever get anything done.

Hell, there are even teaparty candidates sprouting up all over. How many radical lefties do we have?

I'm afraid they are beating us on the ground.

22. What makes you think they're effective? They do get a lot of media attention because they're like
the fools on 'reality TV'. Idiots and sleazy rolled into one.

7. they should just recreate facilities during Katrina, when the govt left people to die
That's the only example I can think of in the first world where people are dying from untreated illness while waiting for government services that were promised them.

12. I was listening to NPR and heard parts of a tea bagger barbecue where they were organizing and
planning postal zone meetings. For a small group they get heard.

Why do progressives do so little and want so much compared to the teabaggers doing much and demanding much?

Is it because the press does not report on progressives or is it that teabaggers are more demonstrative than progressives.

If teabaggers don't get their way they make a lot of noise and bully people, if progressives don't get their way they say they will drop out of politics.

18. The more ridiculous they look, the more voters will desert the Repub Party
The Repub Party was always playing with fire when they hitched their wagon to the fundamentalist extreme rightwing conservatives.

Moderates and Independents are not deaf and blind. They see these are the very 'coalition partners' that Karl Rove recruited and used to wield political power. Now you have rightwing Repubs in elected office who 'owe' their status to lots of these supporters. ARe they going to turn their backs on them? I don't think so.

And that is why Repubs will lose at the polls as the number of Americans who identify themselves as Republicans continues to sink.

So let the Teabaggers play --- they will hurt Repubs much more than Dems.

19. Why do the teabaggers believe this bull-shit
if the other countries have better health care outcomes and a lot of old people aren't dying off (longer life expectancy rates) then why do they believe this bull shit of long waits and inferior health care in single payer systems? I know their reading comprehension skills are lacking, but can't they even think and reason out statistics.
