Worse yet, when they praise what you have to say.

Seriously, when you find yourself in agreement with either one of these people, on any political matter whatsoever, you should know that you're doing precisely the wrong thing.

1. They see the left fracturing and are just doing their part
to make the division worse.

5. Oh right,
Palin and Gingrich are secretly against the war, but see this as an issue that can fracture the party:eyes:

And people think that I'm a conspiracy theorist.

2. I disagree. Each political view should be judged on its own merits and flaws, regardless of what
Palin and Gingrich think.

6. I agree, to a certain extent
But when you find yourself in agreement with these two, especially Palin, this should be considered as a big warning sign that you are probably headed in the wrong direction.

3. Oh, please. That is simplistic.

Palin, Gingrich and Obama will all agree that killing one's family is wrong.

So would he be thinking the wrong thing on that topic if all three agree?

How about the people in Norway - there was a Norwegian poster today who said that we were lucky to have Obama.

So because he appeals to a cross-section of people he is wrong?

Stupid !!!

4. Notice I specified political matters, there was a reason for including that qualifier
To prevent silly arguments like yours.

But speaking of killing, Obama, Palin and Gingrich apparently do agree that some killing is OK, just so long as it is on a large enough scale and can profit the corporate and elite handsomely.

7. His political speech at Oslo
was praised by a broad spectrum of people, not just the neo-cons.

And Obama is trying to find the best way to EXIT from Afghanistan.

"large enough scale and can profit the corporate and elite handsomely."
I doubt Obama had that in mind, unless you are a mind-reader, too.

8. Don't have to be a mind reader,
Just go take a stroll over to Open Secrets and take a look at the man's donor list for his campaign. Corporations don't drop that kind of money on a candidate without expecting some payback.

And please, please tell me how escalating a war is "trying to find the best way to EXIT from Afghanistan". And don't give me that line about leaving in 2011. If you go back and either look at or listen to his speech, the only promise the man gave in regards to 2011 is that he's going to "begin" to withdraw troops. Hell, he ships home five troops and yes, the withdrawal has become, sure enough. Meanwhile you keep hearing generals and administration officials leaking out and speaking out that 2011 is a soft target and that we're probably likely to be in Afghanistan for the long(er) haul. Hell, Nixon "began" troop withdrawal in Vietnam in '69 and look how long before the last man came home, six years.

Yes, the speech was praised by a broad spectrum of people, for a broad spectrum of reasons. All I'm saying that when RW whackos start agreeing with you, some bright lights and loud bells need to start going off in your head letting you know that you're probably going in the wrong direction.

10. He rejected the first proposals from the Generals
ALL of them, because there was no exit strategy.

Once again you are mind-reading --- there are some donors who are complaining because they are not getting favors from the Obama administration. And he has quietly begun removing the influence of lobbyists --- did you not notice that?

So, in light of the above, I think it is a bit of a stretch to assume "Corporations don't drop that kind of money on a candidate without expecting some payback." because FACTUALLY they are not.
