Can health care be passed by Reconciliation? |
It's clear with people like Lieberman, Nelson, Lincoln and a couple of others that they will continue with there petty demands to weaken any bill. Can the Senate pass a Health Care bill thru Reconciliation--with a Public Option?
p.s. It really is time to strip Traitor Joe of his committee chair and kick him the hell out of the caucus.

4. What I'm more concerned about... |
...is if the Senate will try to muscle their version of the bill through the House without allowing a vote.

5. Health care is another example of why the filibuster in the Senate is bad |
yes, I know others here say we need it when dems are in the minority, but do dems ever really make good on their threats and does anybody take them seriously. Look at what the House has accomplished this year compared to the Senate.

6. The filibuster as it is used today, is anti-democratic, no matter who's in the majority. |
It offers a convenient excuse to NEVER DO ANYTHING! Which means that the status quo, no matter how painful it may be for a majority of Americans, is never challenged. Any party that gets a commanding majority in national elections should be able to put its program through, yes, even if that commanding majority is right wing. If we decide we don't like the program, we vote the bastards out and install people who will get rid of the program. That's how it's supposed to work, anyway. I'm all for the "Nuclear Option."
