Instant CYA for Blue Angel crash: and one very important question:
Edited on Sat Apr-21-07 04:30 PM by PCIntern
CNN and FOX are running coverage continuously, every aspect of which begins with the equivalent of: these men are remarkable pilots, great aviators, who fly in remarkable precision thousands of times without incident, etc.

Well, that's correct. They are. And, like the rest of us, they make mistakes. You only get one mistake when you do this kind of work. in this case, it seems that a house may be involved at the very least. So the danger to the civilians is extant and despite the great skills manifest by these pilots, there is a finite frisk of catastrophe. This is nothing new for air shows.

Now, what's remarkable here is that they're covering INSTANTLY for what is a government PR stunt, an impressive one at that, having seen them on several occasions, but a 'stunt' nonetheless. I wonder if the errant pilot was a Democrat?
:sarcasm:
since that'll be the take on Rushbo and Hannity...and probably Smerconish on Monday.

PS on edit: Miles O'Brien has the worst English I've ever heard on the air: his grammar is just awful.

14. We do have some facts.
The media and the junta have created a taboo against criticizing anything related to the military. Now this taboo is effective in keeping the nation fucked into the Iraq warindefinitely, as the Democrats are afraid to exercise their Congressional duty and defund the war.

I think we need to be aware it may be used to prevent people from openly talking about military exhibition pilots and the maneuvers they may have tried and failed.
