So I see this nightmare scenario |
|
of republicans suddenly backing this bill and it getting run through both houses in a heartbeat. Then the repugs will campaign on the mandate, on the cost etc.

1. We are already in the nightmare scenario, but yes that would make it worse. |

2. I don't see them doing that - they are already getting what they want out of it |
|
and that would be a riskier move. A risk they could maybe afford to take, but why take a risk you don't have to?

3. Hard to campaign against something you vote for.. |
|
Republicans will not vote for a single thing Democrats propose...They do not care about this country one whit. They only care about making Democrats look bad...They live by the rule, the way to make yourself look good is by tearing down the competition. It is all they know. They have nothing except "Tax Cuts" for the wealthy..They have nothing to brag about so the ONLY thing they have left is to destroy the opposition.

4. Repugs lies are covered over by the media - perception is greater than reality. |

With mandates that make Americans forced to buy health care from corporations,
With the re-importation of meds from Canada now kept illegal,
With the exclusion of any real public option as competition to the corporations,
With the denial of any expansion of Medicare,
With the frightening provision that permits corporations to ignore higher standards in many states and sell insurance in those states,
This is a great bill now for Republicans to support.
It's the corporate enslavement of the American people.
This is now a very wicked bill. Too many have shown their true colors, their fangs.
The bill needs to die. Obama will survive his "defeat".
