Runs from where you started it around 107 to 120. It's a GREAT SPEECH and I am very grateful I got to see this tonight. I hope he is right. I hope the bill that is eventually passed and signed does do all he says it will. I hope the Republicans will nothing but ashes from that moment on and it puts the final nail in their coffin. Otherwise, it is the DEMs who will suffer in the mid terms and it will only get worse the more of these rightwingers in office.

In a reasonable world, he would be. But I'm hearing the gasbags say all of a sudden that the House could flip in 2010 and we are in for House investigations ad nauseum of Obama administration "crimes" like somebody in the White House took home a box of paper clips.

The Senator is right. The reTHUGs lie. And they lie. And then they lie some more.

They want to stop anything that Obama does, especially legislation that that gasbag Hatch admitted will be popular and increase the Democratic constituency.

They want to "break" Obama, derail him at every opportunity, and destroy his presidency.

You know that.

Senator Whitehouse is right. When the bill passes and regular people realize that it's actually not too scary and even pretty good (at least better than things are now), and that they've been manipulated and lied to by the reTHUGs, there will be a reckoning -- against the GOP.

In that case, we are likely to actually increase the Democratic majority in Congress and President Obama will be able to accomplish even more, hopefully much more progressive changes.

Senator Whitehouse got my instant respect the moment I saw him questioning someone during a hearing regarding the US Attorney firings. He put on his prosecutorial hat, zeroed in and remained focused. I fell in 'love' with the man!
