Get ready for more "terror".
First of all, we should recognize that there are people that want to do us harm. There have always been those people.

However, when you send drones into another country to kill a man's family or friends, he will do everything possible to strike back at you. I'm sure President Obama understands this.

Before 9/11, President Bush was the most belligerent SOB on the planet. He was making threats to the Taliban. He was turning the other way as Israel was running amok over the Palestinian people. It was none of our business, he said. He withdrew from treaties and called other countries "evil". Then 9/11 happened. The Bush Administration acted like an innocent.

Now, in the last week, President Obama has decided to strike Yemen. More people are dying and more enemies are being made. Then the bomb incident happened aboard the Northwest airline. It was not a disconnected event.

Bombing other countries will create acts of revenge or "terror" against our people. It is not without cost. Americans will die. Let us understand the consequences of more bombs and more drones and more killing. There will be more "terror". What's next? We go back to the red and yellow codes?

2. Terror is not in what others do. Terror is our reaction to it.
The war on terror is in our minds.

4. Mr. Fish hits it out of the ballpark:

The biggest terrorist organization on the planet is the American government, acting on behalf of American multi-national corporations. Our government has been completely & totally co-opted.

6. That's the crux of it: Our actions are creating more enemies, as well as death and suffering.

I posted an editorial from Glenn Greenwald on just that subject this morning...but mentioning Joe Lieberman gets a lot more attention, lol.

12. The US has long been the leader of state sponsored terrorism - only propaganda prevents admission
As to your question...it's like an organized religion versus a "cult;" what makes a cult a "cult," and not a "religion" is that it doesn't have strength in numbers, even though it embodies many of the traits/characteristics of a cult.

13. Get ready for more "terror". Too many people are watching too closely and are
due for another shot of fear to keep us in line.

I'm thinking just prior to primary season.
