Wayward Hungry Pig Captured In Nevada Co.

NEVADA COUNTY (CBS13) ― A pig pursuit in Nevada County today as reports came in of a huge pig roaming the grounds outside a fast food restaurant in Grass Valley ending up outside the mini-mart at a gas station.

The first reports of the pig came from the employees of a Starbucks who could hear the pig 'oinking' over the speaker of their drive-thru while taking orders.

The pig eventually made it to a Chevron gas stations where employees there fed the pig some shredded lettuce and rolls.

Animal control officers arrived and coaxed the pig onto a truck and back to their facility.

They've named the pig 'Gladys' and will hold onto her to nourish her back to health, and then she'll be available for adoption.

Lived 3 yrs in Rough and Ready, just a few miles down the road.

Stuff like this happens.

I'm sure someone will take in the sweet pig. :D

PS the Starbucks and the Chevron are at least a mile and a half apart. But then there were the dumpsters of downtown between. :)

I hope Gladys has a good life as the pet she obviously is. She has a beautiful smile.
