Soldier Jailed for Rap Song Against Stop Loss Military Policy1 of 1
WJLA NewsChannel 8ARLINGTON, Va. - A soldier put his anger at being sent back to Iraq in a rap song. The military, however, did not think it was fun or creative.
After a 14-month tour of duty in Iraq, Army Specialist Marc Hall was supposed to be redeployed but now he's in a Fort Stewart, Georgia jail. The military has charged him with misconduct for a rap song threatening to kill members of the military.
On part of the song by Hall, also known as hip hop artist Marc Watercus, says: "Like Obama said, somebody be held responsible. But some of y'all gonna be held in the hospitals."
The language is explicit and Specialist Hall further made his point by mailing his song to the Pentagon.
"I got a (expletive) magazine with 30 rounds, on a three-round burst, ready to fire down Still against the wall, I grab my M-4, spray and watch all the bodies hit the floor. I bet, you never stop loss nobody no more," he also says in the song. ..........(more)
