Proposal: The DU Phonebank Support Group |
|
During The Coakley Disaster Campaign I did some phonebanking from home, through the Organizing For America website.
The site gives you a list of phone numbers.
You type the number into your phone, talk to the person, read a script, ask them questions, and fill out a form on the webpage.
I assume that when you fill-out the form to read that the person is "undecided," then that means someone with more training from the campaign will call that person back, and try to "decide" them.
Yeah. I said "assume."
What I would like, would be to have a system in place through DU where we could hand-off our undecideds, without posting their phone numbers in a forum, or anything like that.
Also a place for real-time feedback from fellow DUers, while we are on the phone, if possible.

2. I'm guessing that you have explicitly or implicity taken an oath of |

confidentiality, what you're suggesting would break it. Even internally in DU it could be disastrous.
Instead why not encourage the OFA site to set up a forum for users, perhaps organized by state or interest or candidate where you all can discuss and have appropriate internal connections to be sure your forwards are being handled.
