How do you think this SCOTUS decision will effect Unions?
Think about this - Unions stand up to corporations for us, and are a real thorn in the side of corporations.
Are corporations going to be able to pay enough money to get rid of unions?

Tell me I am just being paranoid - please.

1. Unions
Unions will be outlawed within six years, but more probably four. Like the rest of democracy and all our Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms.

7. I don't think they'll be outlawed outright, but they'll be crippled and useless
Same difference.

4. It is all over for Unions and for most labor laws. Forget about the 40 hour workweek
If they get away with this it's over. The Unions will not be outlawed but they will pass so many restrictions they won't lose all effectives and shrink to nothing.

Corps will never outlaw them, that is too obvious, they will just choke them to death.

10. That's my take pretty much too. Bennies will be for the rich only.
You'll work how ever few or many hours they need to use you for.

OSHA? Oh now there's a funny joke. They won't disband OSHA, but rather turn them into a useful rubber-stamp agency (more than they are now).

16. They have lost their bearings. They want to equate money with speech
And I say this as someone who has supported them with money.

8. I think it depends on how it is played
Unions did bring us weekends. I wonder how much that will mean to the "independents."

I can't see how unions can actually be outlawed just yet--maybe never.

And it really all depends on us.

How much of a screwing are we really willing to take until we take it to the streets, together?

That's what has me worried.

17. They need that money to grow unions, they cannot do BOTH, it is a loosing fight
They don't have unlimited funds, already they are neglecting their home territory by using so much of the member dues for political fights. Union funds are needed to keep the unions healthy as well.

13. If multinational and foreign corps
can give money to campaigns, evidently, can international and foreign unions give money as well?

I would think they'd be freed of restrictions on what ads they could run.

along with minimum wage, 40hr work week, worker's comp, workplace safety standards, etc.

18. There will be no more unions.
They are on the ropes anyway.

This is about permanent GOP rule.

GOP = Corporations

Corporations = GOP, some Democrats being on the take notwithstanding.
