5. Both used a very inartful way to tell the truth |
|
No matter what you think of the comments, in both cases, they were the truth.
But in both cases, they conveyed the truth in the worst way possible.

You're making sense here...doesn't fit in with agendas. People here are hellbent on blaming Emmanuel in specific for everything wrong and will find anything to hang around his neck. I'm wondering how these people would react if it was one of their political heroes who utter these stupid remarks and how they'd react.

10. Then Don't Vote For Them... |
|
As simple as that. This President seems to think they offer some value to his administration and if you don't like them, then you'll have your chance in three years to express your dismay at the ballot box. Of if you want Emmanuel and Duncan gone, let it be on merit, not words. As I've said, I have a lot of problems with Rahm...have had it for years when he stuck his nose in local races here in Illinois but I also see those attacking him as doing the dirty work of the rushpublicans who would prefer we fight among each other than to go after those who really threaten our country and opening the door for them to regain power many of us worked our asses off to get them kicked out.

11. I won't be. "Voting for them." |
|
More specifically, I won't be voting for their appointer, who is responsible for them, and for the bad policies coming out of the WH.
Or for any other privatizers, union-busters, or corporate stooges, to quote a Chicago teacher.

14. When did anyone vote for them? |

I can guarantee you I would never have voted for either one of these assholes.

16. Then You Didn't Do Your Homework |
|
In '92 Clinton got a lot of shit when he said when you vote for him, you're also voting for Hillary. Thus when you're looking at supporting a candidate, it's always worth finding out who their friends are. Rahm was no hidden secret, nor Duncan...they were very active in President Obama's campaign and their names were mentioned early and often for important positions should Obama have won. Thus if you voted for President Obama, yes, you voted for his advisors as well. And it also means that when he runs for re-election they'll be there with him as well. You the can vote to approve or disapprove.
And trust me, if Emmanuel or Duncan were to run for elective office, they wouldn't be my choices either...

18. The truth, according to THEM. And in accordance with THEIR viewpoints. |
|
The healthcare bill SUCKS.
And Corpo-America would LOVE to insert itself into public education.
So, yes, the truth according to the DLC.
Bullshit for everyone else.
