Is this some kind of joke?

NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 2010, with the economy still struggling,
financial industry bonuses still flowing,
and Americans wondering why the only folks getting ahead are bankers who were saved by our money,
Republicans are cozying up even more to Wall Street?

Boehner Begs for Wall St. Dough
House Minority Leader John Boehner met with J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon last week to tell him that congressional Republicans are fighting President Obama’s efforts to curb pay and create new regulations—and, of course, to rattle the tin cup. It was part of Republicans’ efforts to win donations from Wall Street and “make the case that they are the banks’ best hope of preventing President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats from cracking down on Wall Street,” says The Wall Street Journal.

From Wall Street Journal article today titled "GOP Chases Wall Street Donors ":

In discussions with Wall Street executives, Republicans are striving to make the case that they are banks' best hope of preventing President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats from cracking down on Wall Street.

Last week, House Minority Leader John Boehner of Ohio made a pitch to Democratic contributor James Dimon, the chairman and chief executive of J.P. Morgan, over drinks at a Capitol Hill restaurant, according to people familiar with the matter.

Mr. Boehner told Mr. Dimon congressional Republicans had stood up to Mr. Obama's efforts to curb pay and impose new regulations. The Republican leader also said he was disappointed many on Wall Street continue to donate their money to Democrats, according to the people familiar with the matter.

Reid invited top lobbyists to join him and his supporters for an inaugural brunch Monday where he told ABC News that he will still do plenty of business with them.

"And there's nothing wrong with that," said Reid. "And Obama will be meeting with them too." When asked to clarify his remarks, given Obama's promises to change that part of Capitol culture, Reid responded that lobbyists are part and parcel of the job

this from Jan 2009.

6. The GOP has always been about Wall St., multi-nationals, big oil, big pharma, etc.
Thanks for posting, though. Maybe some lurking freepers will finally catch a clue and realize that the GOP has always been against their best interests.

7. Sorry. you spelled it wrong. It's Palin as day, not plain as day.
I hate to be the spelling police, especially since I can't spell for shit (Calif public school) but Palin and plain are hard to mix up.

8. You mean like whores?
This only brings out what we have known all along....the GOP has NO principles and no agenda other than winning points by obstructing the Democrats and the President.

White House, are you listening to this? Do you finally understand who your real enemies are?
