Ed Schultz asked a TeaBagger reporter (Heidi somebody?) to go to the next |
|
health care clinic with him. He said he would pay her way. He almost closed the show before she accepted, but she did.
I'd like to see him challenge every Repub who comes on his show to do the same.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe it was such a meeting that turned him from the right to the left.

1. his wife turned him from the dark side but.... |
|
the reason he`s the standard bearer for public option or medicare for all is his bc/bs rates went up. i remember that day on the radio . he had called the office of bc/bs in north dakota and found out the executives were on a paid vacation in the caribbean as a bonus for basically deigning claims...he`s been hell on wheels ever since.....

5. Actually it's more than that. He's always been a strong supporter of unions |
|
and labor. Health care and labor go hand in hand.

2. I saw that and I love Ed, but he is pounding sand if he thinks this will have any effect on |
|
this "person". Unfortunately, Ed is wasting his money in paying her expenses to a free health clinic. There is zero chance she will do anything except use the experience to further criticize those who aren't even successful enough to provide their own health care!
I continue to be amazed that liberal media personalities insist on giving extremist conservatives a microphone with which to spread their toxic nonsense. In their way, aren't they, too, trying to be bipartisan at the expense of decency and common sense?
After Ed's show, Mathews AGAIN let that unmitigated GOP apologist prostitute, Ron Christie, explain how Nancy Pelosi is worse than Sarah Palin. Gimme a damn break, willya, Chris?

4. Chris pisses me off because he so often is part of the problem. |
|
He's clever enough to stop bullshitters in their tracks but often he won't.

6. I can't stand how he asks a guest a question and then answers it for them ... |
|
... never giving them more than about 3 seconds to speak. That man seriously needs some Ritalin.

8. Chris loves the game more than policy |
|
Always has, he is wealthy enough that the only policy that effects him personally are tax cuts and stocks going down.

3. He's made the same offer to RW anti-health care nuts before. I hope more do |
|
the same. Anyone who has gone to those free health clinics have come back sober and stopped drinking the insurance industry Kool-Aid.

9. I so agree with him about - where are the Senators? where are the Congressmen? |
|
when he attends a clinic in a particular state.
If someone actually goes and listens, and stays the day, and talks to the people I don't know how s/he could not be affected. I know when I had insurance I didn't understand what it would be like to be without. I assumed there were safety nets for people who needed health care but were unemployed or couldn't find insurance. I had no clue what it's really like. Now I know first hand.

10. Heidi Harris said she has spoken |
|
with a majority of Americans and they don't want single payer health care. Please, she's a conservative talk radio host? The only people she has talked to is teabaggers. But she didn't go to the tea party.

11. When did Ed go to the left? |

Every time I've heard him, he sounds like a conservative Democrat.

12. He was in the beginning, but he was always strong on labor issues and |
|
unions. I think one thing lead to another like health care reform in his thinking and he's gone left. Having Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow as fellow show hosts probably doesn't hurt either. He is a smart guy.
