So there are actually TWO Tebow ads for Focus on the Family?
Just heard a snippet on the Rachel Maddow show. Bad enough he filmed even one for that misogynic, homophobic hate group. :puke: Does anyone know what the focus is for the second commercial?

15. Some people unrec
to show dissatisfaction with the story itself. Like "That Tim Tebow is a douchebag! Unrec!" Some folks are not real clear on the concept.

2. According to this article, it was just a different version
"• Focus on the Family confirmed it has purchased air time on a CBS pregame show for a different version of the Tebow ad that will air during the game."

5. I'm not too worried about this, What can happen in a 30 second spot?
Free speech means things like this will happen.
This is an opportunity. Press for equal time. Form a group, raise money, Buy our own messages.

Frankly most people just want to see the game. Commercials are a time to get snacks.
I don't think anything will come of this.

7. If it were really free speech then they would have allowed the
gay commerical.

It's not about free speech it's about pushing their agenda.

8. i think this one will be potty break time since everyone knows
what it's about. people want funny/weird/unusual in their superbowl commercials, not political statements.

9. Better They Waste Money On This...
Most people are going to be making sandwich or hitting the can while the commercials roll...I'd rather see them waste their money than using that money to go to anti-Choice or Gay Marriage voting efforts. The ad won't change many minds. The real winner is CBS who gets the big coin.

10. All I wish is Allred goes ahead with the lawsuit and the complaint
to the FCC. It isn't as if CBS doesn't know that the information being peddled in this ad is somewhat false. If it was any thing else they would have pulled it. I hope to hell Allred sues for a billion dollars and puts CBS right out of business. Maybe we can then get a replacement that will be really truly absolutely fair and balanced.

If I owned a news station, the first thing I would do is tell every single reporter and every single one of the commentators and those that sit in front of the camera and read what is stuck in front of them, it is OK to report on republicans and their news. It is OK to report on Democrats and their news. And the same for Independents. BUT EVERY SINGLE THING YOU REPORT HAS TO BE THE TRUTH TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE. OR YOU WILL GET FIRED. AND NO RUN-A-WAY BRIDE TYPE COVERAGE, NO ANNA NICOLE SMITH TYPE NEWS, NONE OF THAT SILLY BILLY STUFF. REAL NEWS...WITH SOME PEOPLE INTEREST STORIES. BUT NO 24/7 BLOCKS OF FLUFF.

14. No one has any kind of proof that this is "somewhat false"
Lots of hot air on the part of Gloria Allred, which is of course, nothing new.

I hadn't seen her name in the news since Octomom, so I guess it was time for her to look for another "cause".

11. Will it air during the Lingerie Bowl?
Because it's objectifying women just as much as the anti-choice ad is!

12. I know that I am an old person, but does anyone else find this creepy?
How long has this narrative been running in the Tebow family. (Ya know, I could have aborted you, but I didn't. So, you had best listen to me.)

I just don't find this the kind of thing that you broadcast to the nation.

And I know the first fumble, or whatever, when some fan yells "She should have aborted you."

This is not the sort of thing I would expose my family to.

And where is the father in all of this?

It's just kind of creepy.

16. The first one involved him tackling his own mother
Nothing warms my heart more than a hate group spending millions of dollars to show a football player take his own mom down. Great family values there. :eyes:
