I rooted for the Saints for lots of emotional reasons - first trip to the big game, good news for NOLA, etc., but I had one more reason, albeit kind of silly.

I grew up a Tampa Bay Bucaneers fan, and the Saints were the first team the Bucs ever beat in regular season, after having an 0-26 record. So, I've always hoped for the day that the Saints could have a Super Bowl victory.

I may go to the Saints parade on Tuesday. (Mr. BtA took the day off because they are having the parade at 5pm in the middle of the city. :wtf:)

The news said all hotels are sold out and about 90% are booked through tomorrow (Monday). This is a HUGE boost to the city. Streets were filled. Bourbon was filled from Canal to the 900 block. That's a WHOLE lotta folks. They are saying it is a bigger crowd than many past Mardi Gras.
