Cindy ADAMS's scenario for SCOTUS: BIDEN to the court; Hillary to Veep
The Oldest-person-in-the-world-named-"Cindy" is, indeed, a wingnut, but gossip is BIG in NYC and she swims both sides of the cocktail circuit: Pals around with *both* the PATAKIs *and* the CUOMOs. She frequently brags about having been first with tidbits that come to fruition much later...

THIS week's news about coming Supreme Court openings and that even more than one Supreme might be shuffling off to Buffalo or wherever he/she may shuffle? I am truly annoyed with you. This is not "news." Kiddies, Mother told you this one month ago. I even told you who they'd be -- Ruth Bader Ginsburg and John Paul Stevens.

Now, anyone mentioned the so far mumbled-about-only-behind-sealed-doors possibility that in this coming Supreme Court draught Our Father Who Art in the White House could . . . would . . . might . . . nominate Biden to the bench? The idea being to get Hillary as VP. To shore up his poll numbers. Let nobody say he'd even throw Michelle under the bus so's to keep his government housing job. Let nobody say that. However, let somebody say that since his support has eroded with working-class Democrats, and that's Hillary country . . . is all I'm saying.

3. I have to chuckle at the thought of Thomas, Scalia, Alito, Roberts
on the receiving end of a good scolding by the likes of my man, Joe Biden! LOL

4. I don't care about the Hillary thing, but Biden would be an awesome SCOTUS justice.
I suspect that the for-life appointment would free him of the banks for good, and let him be the inner liberal that he truly is.

5. I like Biden just fine
but I would hope Obama would pick someone younger, not older, than the conservatives Bush placed on the bench.

Interesting idea though i get the impression Hillary is happy as Sec of State.

12. I don't think Hillary would take the VP position. She's a great
Secretary of State and I also think she likes it.

In the first place it is not clear that Obama/Clinton polls better than Obama/Biden. (In fact, I suspect that Obama/(any competent Democrat) polls roughly the same.)

As to Biden as Supreme Court Justice, the fact that he is 67 might alone make it unlikely. It seems that there is a preference for someone likely to hold the seat for decades. In addition, I would assume that Obama will pick someone with an excellent record as a judge, something Biden nver was. (Note to Biden fans - I would say the same thinks of the 66 year old John Kerry.)

10. LOL!1 - Ode to my faithfully stalking UnReKKKer!1
Dear One,

Guess what, not EVERY thread posted is worth EITHER a Rec OR an UnReKKK!1 And I myself said many times during the Great Debate on UnReKKK that I never look at the Greatest Page and regard it mostly as a tool for Visitors, like media types, who don't have the time to delve through the entrails of DU, but how I DO a lot of Rec-ing (obviously, for OTHERS), both for merit and to keep worthy topics from falling through the cracks.

Ah, you DISAPPROVE of thread after thread!1 Woe, WOE is you, YOU!1 Kisses to make your sour woe all better for you --actually, NOT!1

As to the age-old comments about "gossip" (and named gossippers), there is nothing in the definition that equates with "untruth." In this case, there is speculation, but she labels it as such. And Senora ADAMS is not on the level of Paris HILTON. And Olympus forfend that *anything* of a light nature *ever* appear here!1

13. Um, no way. Biden is better as VP, giving unsolicited advice.
Hillary would be better on the Supreme Court with an acutal background in practicing law. Biden does have a law degree but was a lawyer for like two minutes before he ran for the Senate. I like both of them a lot but switching VP's is never a good move.

14. Yep, this is pretty lame. No president will ever name an over-60 Scotus nominee
This is just another talking head needing to fill column inches, so she pulls rumors out of her ass.
