I've long been an anti-TV activist so I haven't seen the debate yet-- I don't own a television and I'm in California where the timing was awkward for streaming. I will download it and look at it later, probably this weekend. But after considering Bill Moyers comments about the press recently, it occurred to me that NO debate hosted by a political pundit or commentator should be considered fully legitimate. They're not journalists. They have no interest in real journalism. Their interests are ultimately focusing attention on themselves and their perspectives-- that's how they make their living.

Pundits and commentators have undercut honest journalism. Don't give them an audience.

1. Brian Williams, from NBC, moderated the debate, since it was hosted by MSNBC.
I had some of the early coverage on, since Keith Olbermann was part of the "pre-game," along with Chris Matthews, but his guest was Elizabeth Edwards. I'm still listening to the post-mortum. I'm real tired of listening to Hillary vs. Obama. They weren't the stars, tonight, IMHO. I thought that Dennis Kucinich was right on message and that Mike Gravel (former senator from Alaska) was also quite good, but they aren't the frontrunners. Joe Biden also wasn't bad, though he is definitely not my first choice. They're cutting down John Edwards, who I have thought has been really stepping up to the plate, but he's now considered one of the "frontrunners," behind Hillary and Obama. As for the Brian Williams and the commentators, I think that Williams was pretty fair to everyone, and I enjoy Keith Olbermann, always. He tells it like it is. :-)
