1. Most people look different if you give them a crappy haircut.

I'd look like a real dork if I went for the Telly Savalas.

3. I actually find her face more interesting au naturel
She has a haunted look.

Interesting how jangles, ratting your hair, slick lipstick and glasses can change a face.

14. Oh don't say that.
I like the three of them. Even if they are bekloppt, they're human, you know?

I guess nowadays it takes fiction to show there's any humanity left in people.

15. It's a great little show, but I hate the opening sequence.
Well written, well acted, interestingly constructed human dramas.

I've been a long time fan of Bill Paxton and Chloë Sevigny, who is simply one of the best actresses in the business. I first saw her in Kids, then she turned in that incredible performance in Boys Don't Cry. She was great in the little film Trees Lounge. Her role in American Psycho was small but important. She was wonderful in Last Days of Disco.

She's so good. Her character in Big Love is captivating.

17. I agree, the opening sequence is terrible.
As you say, the character of Nikkie is the crux of the show. The way she's blown back and forth and maintains an illusion of consistency for herself, the extremes that she sees clearest and is repelled by. Of those films I only saw American Psycho and she was memorable in it. (I should finally see Boys Don't Cry!)

6. She's almost comical looking when all done up.
The eyes, though. There's nothing there. No soul. No compassion. No heart. Typical Republican. The eyes really do say it all...

12. Absolute sexist nonsense - she looks MUCH better without the paint and trinkets.
Talk about totally irrelevant "criticism."
