The Mysterious Death of Bush's Cyber-Guru (Maxim Magazine)
The Mysterious Death of Bush's Cyber-Guru
(below are snippets)
......................

According to sources, there were other anomalies. Normally, a night crash scene would be roped off and investigated in daylight. In this case representatives of the NTSB and FAA used light towers to photograph and document the scene. Connell’s plane was hastily removed to a secure hangar under cover of darkness. By 6 a.m. the investigators had vanished, leaving behind them a trail of debris, and one very angry widow.

........................
(the sister)

She doesn’t know whether Connell helped steal elections. If he did, she says, it was because of his passionate anti-abortion views. “I think he was convinced he was doing good—to save the babies,” she says. “That’s the only thing my sisters and I can come up with.

“Mike had been deposed, but he hadn’t been called as a witness yet,” she says of the possibility that her brother was murdered. “He was incredibly loyal to the people he worked for, but he would never have lied under oath. For want of a better expression, I think they played him. His death would have been a really nice Christmas present for Rove and Cheney.

.................

Ultimately, only a full criminal investigation can determine the truth about Ohio ’04 and the death of Michael Connell. Robert Kennedy Jr., who sought Connell’s cooperation during an investigation into the election, believes the current administration should pursue the matter. “I think this is more serious than Watergate,” he says. “Watergate was essentially about winning the battle for public opinion. That’s why the break-in took place—to gather strategic information about Democratic strategy and dirt. But the electoral process remained intact. The Ohio vote undermines the very foundation stone of American democracy. There should be an official investigation. Otherwise this becomes a blueprint for how to steal an election from here to eternity.”

3. "he was convinced he was doing good—to save the babies"
If you want something bad enough, it justifies doing anything whatever to get it. Or so goes the pretzel logic. If that's the way he thought, Connell didn't have a monopoly on this form of rationalization.

5. I was kind of dissapointed in the article.
I was hoping that there would be some really new information that might actually lead to something. Still, it's good that it's out there in the popular media where more people will become aware of the story.

I'm hoping that this will result in Spoonamore and others making the rounds of the media outlets. If nothing else it could at least lead to greater public suspicion of electronic voting.

http://journals.democraticunderground.com/McCamy%20Taylor/348

Take away points----administration tried to say he ran out of gas--until someone showed the fireball, which indicated he had plenty of gas. Plus, his plane should have had plenty of gas for the journey he made. Then, they blamed the weather. However, they would not release the tower records. An IFR pilot would have notified the tower that he was having weather problems. Finally, the airport in College Park Maryland where he took off was having severe financial difficulties---and might have had to cut back on security or even could have been persuaded by the administration to look away while the plane was being tampered with. It was administration policy which put the airport in a bind in the first place.

the girl who was being idolized by millions of american kids, represented their nuclear future to their parents, and was a major PR problem for the reagan handlers as her hollywood fame grew. see the movie 'amazing grace and chuck' w/ gregory peck- a take off on the story. the NTSB accident report is on the net with all sorts of other stuff. in an accident commentary about it in flying magazine, j mac mclellan (sp?) found it quite mysterious. just another wellstoning, nothing to see here.

15. One of the most shocking and ...
Edited on Mon Feb-15-10 09:31 PM by defendandprotect
ambitious of the plane crashes seems to be the Dorthy Hunt flight --

I wrote something up on that here at DU -- I'll see if I can find it.

Still had it in my drafts -- but don't know where it is at DU --

QUOTE --

Dorothy Hunt, wife of Howard Hunt was killed in a plane crash...she was carrying blackmail money---!

And documents . . .

This is from High Treason II, Livingstone/1992.p/b

And, I am paraphasing this -- direct quotes are in quotes.

(By the way, again, I hope this will help allay any notions that "Watergate" was nothing
compared to Bush/Cheney - !!! Besides what's related here, there may have also been
a connection to election steals beginning to be reported in Florida as the computers
began to come in mid-to-late 1960's . . . quite near the time they passed the Voting
Rights Act.

Flight 553 - beg pg 423 a Boeing 737 - 61 passengers and 6 crew members --
Friday 12/8/72 UA flight from Washington National Airport to Chicago.

Howard Hunt couldn't travel - already indicted for Watergate therefore
Dorthy Hunt/former CIA operative was carrying the money to pay off the Watergate Cubans.

Livingstone points to this period in America as repeatng political assassinations,
dead witnesses/coverups, media distortion; evidence stolen, planted, forged.

Livingstone also states . . .
"It is clear that much of the scandal over the Watergate break-in that forced
Nixon to resign revolved around political assassination. John Ehrlichman,
Bob Haldeman, and others indicated this in their writings, which seem greatly
censored (sometimes self-censored), even today."

Further, Livingstone says it's believed that the plane was brought down/sabotaged because
Dorothy was carrying some of Hunt's papers -- some of the most damaging documents.

Interestinng passengers on plane -- Michelle Clark/CBS got word from sources the Hunts might
be getting ready to "blow the White House out of the water." "... before Howard Hunt was
left to twist slowly in the breeze -- "he would bring down every tree in the forest."

James McCord testified that things were at a "crisis stage" with Dorthy wanting out.
Unhappy with having to run all over the country, bribing defendants and witnesses.
Howard Hunt "uneasy" .. wanted confirmation that he would get executive clemency --
sufficient money to cushion any fall he had to take.
There were also three lawyers connected to natural gas and a president of an Omaha bank,
all connected to a gas deal which was being investigated and they fought back with
the "Mitchell papers" which explosed him as having conspired with DOJ to aid their
competitor -- similar to ITT scandal. These lawyers had been "warned that
they would never live to reach Chicago." Schlesinger/A Thousand Days/pg 321.

Plane came in over Chicago -- cloudy -- flying 30 knots too fast but controllers
didn't warn them.

Approach controller "forgot" to give plane a "cleared approach."
Without clearance, pilots would "usually hold at some fix and maintain last assigned altitude
until they got clearance." However, Capt. Wendell Whitehouse, highly experienced pilot,
"stayed on course for a landing at Midway." Something obviously wrong.
O'Hare controllers then passed the flight to those at Midway - 9 miles distant.*
Premature handoff without telling Midway of the flight's excessive speed nor other
in-flight factors.

Per investigators, Midway then told pilot to keep coming in for a landing -
however, at the same time, they told O'Hare they were sending the flight around for a second time.

The plane was also redirected to another runway as it was coming in. No winds/no reason.
Midway wasn't modern airport like O'Hare. This runway had no glidescope/no precision radar
at all and at opposite end of the field - Pilot had no way of knowing its height and angle.
It did have "localizer" -- a signal to the plane re its flight path/relation to the runway.
Just as the plane headed down, "the localizer either stopped working or was somehow lost to
the pilot." Whitehouse radioed asking if localizer was off - however, that request and another
are not in the official reports." NTSB fine print confirms that it was turned off.
Had marker been on it would have permitted pilot to see where he was through the clouds/
3 miles from runway.

3.3 n/m out, Midway waved off 553 fearing it would hit a small plane landing.
But later they said they did it just before plane disappeared from radar.

553 came out 1.7 miles from runway and very wide of it. The stewardess screamed
to passengers to "get down in a crouch!" With the nose "pitched up" and engines
straining, the plane stalled/shuddering - then began to fall over a neighborhood of
one-story bungalows, crash: 2:29 pm. Phone and electric lines cut thru by plane -
whole area blacked out. Plane came in on its belly/some passengers survived.

Immediately -- and without precedent -- the crash site under control of FBI.
"Almost immediate materialization of 'police,' actually plain-clothes, official looking
strangers." Citizens Cmte to Clean up the Courts/Sherman Skolnik investigated.

People in the area saw "FBI types" parked in unmarked cars on side streets - more arrived. All were in crash area before fire dept.

"The CCCC-famous in Chicago area-charged that immediately over 200 FBI and DIA men came in
and took over the area." They refused to show credentials to anyone, even local police.
John Reed/head NTSB testified FBI agents were interviewing witnesses and listened to
and confiscated the tower tapes before they could. "Chairman Reed indicated to the FBI that
in view of the death of Dorothy Hunt, the above constituted suspicious behavior, and has
raised innumerable questions in the minds of those with legitimae interests in ascertaining
the cause of this accident." Patrick Gray was heading the FBI at this time.

FBI first denied more than a dozen agents-
then admitted to 50 -- then admitted they had done all of that --
Claim: "in cases of possible sabotage, FBI had primary jurisdiction"

Reportedly, also interfered with rescue teams - though screaming from the crash could be heard.
FBI also reversed evacuation moving least-injured out first.
FBI separated out the dead--stripped the dead of all belongings and identification.

There had been a Congressman, George Collins, on the plane and now one of his aides appeared.
Having some old military ID with him he was able to get thru FBI cordon and inside the plane.
This Executive Aide claims “he saw a man in overalls climbing out of the split fuselage of the
Boeing 737.” Further, he recognized the man as an operative of the CIA. Others saw DIA operatives.

OPERATION GEMSTONE charts designed by Liddy and Hunt “diagrammed the illegal manipulationof flight communications and electronic signals.”

Dorothy Hunt was dead but the Federal Drug Agent, Harold Metcalf - who had advised the pilot
he was carrying a gun – survived. Charles Colson/Time Magazine...”I think they killed Dorothy Hunt.”
Howard Hunt got $250,000 in insurance payment on his wife. Dorothy was said to have $10,000 or
$100,000 found in her purse.

Next day, Egil Krogh, head of the “plumbers” was made undersecretary of transportation -
Krogh could now supervise both NTSB and FAA and supposedly witnesses testified to Senate that
Krogh had tried to intimidate NTSB members re Hunt crash Nixon also put Alexander Butterfield
in as head of the FAA. Butterfield had been in charge of the WH secret taping system.
Dwight Chapin/dirty tricks was moved to United Airlines/Chgo as executive. Supposedly Chapin
warned the media off foul-play or cover-up stories ....and if they “failed to obey” he would get
Nixon’s communications czar to break up the networks.

Crash went down as “pilot error” with Captain and two co-pilots blamed by NTSB,However, NTSB had originally thought plane stalled but couldn’t figure out how that could happen
in level flight. Whitehouse - “one of the best” – was also an experienced stunt pilot.

No info was obtained from the tapes - and suspected they had been altered. Reportedly found by
Sanitation Workers, the tail flight recorder had stopped recording 14 minutes before the crash!

An FAA whistleblower called Skolnick, telling him “553 had been sabotaged and that he was risking
his life to tell him this - people were murdered.” 1300 pages from official crash file of NTSB were
received by Skolnick.

One clue from documents -- pilot’s body contained large amount of cynanide - 4X more than he could
have breathed in from burning plastic from cabin. Five other passengers had also “breathed in too
much cyanide.”

Somehow, two days after the crash, Skolnick’s investigators coordinating with DOJ/Organized Crime
Strike Force found Sarelli Mob had articles from crash – $40,000 more of Dorothy Hunt’s money and
the “Mitchell Papers” taken from lawyer’s briefcase.

One of Skolnick’s investigators also saw “$2 million in American Express money orders, travelers’
checks and postal money orders drawn on National City Bank-NY” Also from Howard Hunt’s 8 cartons
of “White House Horrors” ... some “invaluble written evidence of executive high crimes having to do
with assassinations in North and South America pre-Watergate.”

One witness on the ground reported hearing “a boom” and looking up to see the 737 with one engine
on fire. Hadn’t hit anything yet - about 200 feet off the ground.

Theory: Pressure detonator was used to bring the plane down

*handoff at 5.3 nautical miles out/official report
" at 8.9 miles from airport/unpublished official documentation

these comments re Watergate --

“I think this is more serious than Watergate,” he says. “Watergate was essentially about winning the battle for public opinion. That’s why the break-in took place—to gather strategic information about Democratic strategy and dirt. But the electoral process remained intact. The Ohio vote undermines the very foundation stone of American democracy. There should be an official investigation. Otherwise this becomes a blueprint for how to steal an election from here to eternity.”

Wow -- to limit Watergate to "gathering st4rategic information re Dem strategy and dirt" is

unbelievabe! It was a murderous agenda -- and that includes the Huston Plan modeled on

Operation Northwoods and intended to STOP the 1972 elections--!

Additionally -- to say that the "electoral process remained intact" is mind-boggling when the

LARGE computers used by MSM and the individual computers used by voters began to come in during

the mid-and-late-1960's -- coincidentally, just about the time we were passing The Voting

Rights Act!!

I'll include at the end a website which details the activities of two journalists in the late

1960's who were investigating the computers -- and the hacking of the vote. The book is called

"Votescam -- The Stealing of America" and it's available to read at the site for free.

The families of these men keep the website up for public information.

The very information developed in their investigation of the computers WAS passed on to

the National Democratic Commitee at the Watergate!!

Just when do we think this plan was hatched to steal elections through computers?

Do we really think that 2000 was the first steal?

Was there ever a "Southern Strategy" or was there only elections stolen by computer?

Additionally, we have to understand how the LARGE computers were used to give more power to

MSM. Previous to the large computers, they were only able to report actual official vote tallies.

After the computers, they were able to PREDICT and CALL elections for candidates -- and to

PREDICT and CALL presidential elections by PREDICTING and CALLING Electoral College votes!

We simply saw those new powers reversed in 2000 when Jon Ellis/Fox News RECALLED Florida from

Gore -- !!

.........................

AND HERE . . .

Connell never did talk to the judiciary committee. But in the months leading up to his death he was under intense pressure. In an attempt to extricate himself from the world of politics, he had sold two of his businesses, including GovTech. Throughout the fall his plane was being tracked by Arnebeck and his associates so they could serve him with a subpoena. Connell sought refuge from the maelstrom in his deep Catholic faith. He took to wearing a scapular, two squares of cloth with religious images favored by devout Catholics, under his shirt. He went to Mass twice a day and became more directly involved with the pro-life movement, spending weekends standing outside abortion clinics. He traveled to Burma and Thailand to work with religious dissidents and started a Catholic charity in El Salvador.

We have some confirmation of the theory that religious right wing fanatics -- Evangelicals and

others -- have been used to aid the election steals.

She doesn’t know whether Connell helped steal elections. If he did, she says, it was because of his passionate anti-abortion views. “I think he was convinced he was doing good—to save the babies,” she says. “That’s the only thing my sisters and I can come up with.

How could anyone believe they have a right to inflict their personal "god" beliefs on the entire

nation by changing the vote? And we ask that same question of those who have killed abortion

doctors -- it's a level of fanatacism which does great harm to democracy.

VOTESCAM - THE STEALING OF AMERICA --

by James & Kenneth Collier

The book was printed and shipped to publishers and then removed from shelves --

sometimes libraries have them -- make sure that no pages are missing -- you can

also sometimes get a copy of the book for a few dollars.

17. In Family of Secrets, Russ Baker see's Watergate as the political assassination of Nixon
He points out the connections between various people that did the deeds and how Nixon was wanting to find out about the link between the Bay of pigs and JFK Assassination in fact Nixon seemed to want to find out how JFK was hit since he had been in Dallas that morning having been brought there to the American Bottlers Association convention. Nixon was to liberal for the Bush agenda and Poppy Bush set up Nixon to fall since he was doing things that were not on the agenda. The ABM Treaty, EPA & OSHA to name a few of the things Nixon did.
Another big name in the Watergate story had Intel connections, Bob Woodward who was in the Navy and was a communications officer to Admiral Moore handling briefings and documents to Gen Haig, prior to his working as a newspaper reporter.

The book is full of some very good dot connecting among the Oil men Bankers and Intelligence operatives that run in close circles. The owner of the Texas School Book Depository was D. Harold Byrd a right wing oilman founder of the Civil Air Patrol, and avid Kennedy hater a good friend of both George de Morenschildt and Clint Murchinson. The book needs to be on the NYT Bestseller list!

18. JFK coup not only took a president from us, it took our government from us -- !!
Edited on Tue Feb-16-10 03:14 PM by defendandprotect
And those who planned it also weren't dumb enough to leave the Democratic Party standing to correct

matters-!!

Watergate certainly isn't all about Nixon!!

Notice the continuing attemps to minimize Watergate and distort it -- you really must

study and look at it yourself to understand all of it. Though, I will agree that I doubt

we yet have explained the centerpiece for the break in -- ACTUALLY NIXON WAS TRYING TO

PLANT INFORMATION THAT DEMS WERE TAKING MONEY FROM COMMUNIST CHINA!!

How often have you heard that they were PLANTING INFO??

In fact, I've seen abridged copies of "All the President's Men" where that info was taken out.

And I don't think that info appears in the movie??? Though I'm not sure.

Further, if the information on VOTESCAM was delivered to the head of the Democratic Party,

that would have exposed the GOP's computer schemes.

Nixon was a player in the plot to kill JFK. Nixon was also present at the notorious meeting

at Clint Murchinson's home the night before the coup. See: Madelaine Brown's info on that --

with a full naming of the participants. There had been a social affair EARLIER that evening

at the Murchinson home -- Brown was there and Helen Thomas, the journalist was there.

The day after the assassination, Helen Thomas filed an Affadavit on the meeting and the

participants she saw arriving. Evidently, most of the partipants were called to Dallas to

be present that day -- something like Agatha Christie's "Murder on the Orient Express"?

That would have appealed to Howard Hunt, I think!

Rather, what Nixon seemed to be doing was making sure that the JFK cover up was continued on -

though he seemed to be threatening Helms with the other end of that stick from time to time.

Nixon was hired by Prescott Bush and other wealthy conservatives to do their dirty work in

Congress and later in the White House because they understood he was corrupt -- and capably

corrupt. There was never a time when Nixon was not corrupt.

Agree re Woodward --

And, as I remember Russ Baker -- "Scotty" . . . ?? -- who long wrote for the NY Times, he

protected the Establishment -- never challenged it.

Certainly the oil industry was involved -- the 1960 Dem Platform which JFK ran on called for

the NATIONALIZING of the oil industry. JFK was also going to end oil depletion allowance!

Think how well off we'd be now -- and the planet would be -- had that happened --

as well as JFK's intent to destroy the CIA!!

I'd highly recommend Madelaine Brown's videos on YouTube --

As for Russ Baker I did not hear of him before now if he was a protector of the status quo before he certainly is not now. Look at his web sites
http://whowhatwhy.com/
http://www.familyofsecrets.com/about/

And you'll see he is talking the talk of a person trying to unveil the secrecy of the shadow government that has been controlling the nation since before Kennedy! After all it was Eisenhower that warned of the Military Industrial Congressional complex.
Yes he did make all of the connections of the Oil men and the Oil Depletion Allowance. His book is very a long reading 600 pages, with the last 100 being the foot notes of where he gets the info.

20. In case anyone is wondering why this article appears under "humor":
The author wrote this story for the London Times Magazine, as he describes as follows:

"One video about the Connell case I found on YouTube seemed less outlandish than the rest. It showed a conservatively dressed, middle-aged attorney in Ohio talking about the theft of the Ohio 04 election. His manner and tone were factual and avuncular. So in early January 2009, I made the first of many phone calls to Cliff Arnebeck, an attorney who has spent years painstakingly putting together a dossier of evidence proving that the Ohio 04 election had been stolen.

By the end of that call, I had become convinced that there was a story worth pursuing. No American magazine would touch it at that time ( Maxim appeared on the scene much later and showed great courage in publishing the story). But I managed to persuade my editor at the London Sunday Times magazine to commission a feature. And in late January 2009, I flew to Columbus, Ohio, to meet with Cliff Arnebeck … (to be continued)"

The London Times dropped the story, although it had paid for it to be written, after receiving a threat of litigation. There may have been other considerations as well, such as fear of offending Ruppert Murdoch who now owns the London Times.

Maxim Magazine targets young men in their twenties who like to look at scantily clad pretty young ladies. It does not have categories for work intended for a broader and more serious adult audience.

I posted this on another thread about the article. :hi:

22. That is just like the only magazine that would do a full article on Sibel Edmonds is in Hustler
See an article about it here

Don't worry the very charming Ms. Edmonds does only a interview naming names but not a photo spread!

http://www.bradblog.com/?p=7688

You're welcome. My 2000+ word article on former FBI translator-turned-whistleblower Sibel Edmonds is now featured in the March 2010 edition of Hustler. Sorry, she's wearing all her clothes. Go buy it anyway.

The article brings the story of Edmonds, who was twice-gagged by the Bush Administration's outrageous use/abuse of the "States Secrets Privilege," fully up to date following her naming of names, finally, under oath, in remarkable testimony last summer. (Some of those names: Hastert, Burton, Blunt, Lantos, Schakowsky, Wolfowitz, Perle, Grossman, etc.)

The Hustler piece, "Sibel Edmonds: The Traitors Among Us," also explores reasons for the perhaps-even-more-remarkable complete avoidance of her 4-hour, detailed, video-taped testimony by the corporate media (Pat Buchanan's American Conservative magazine excepted, if you consider them to be "corporate media") concerning allegations of blackmail of sitting U.S. Congressmembers, the theft and sale of nuclear secrets to the foreign blackmarket, and other allegations of treasonous activities by top State and Defense Department officials over the last decade or more, as we have covered in great detail here at The BRAD BLOG over the years, as the story has unfolded.

So there's your latest excuse to go buy Hustler. While you're at the newsstand, please pick up a copy of the February issue of Maxim as well, featuring Simon Worrall's feature article on the formerly-'censored' story of the mysterous death of GOP IT guru Mike Connell, as detailed in our recent exclusive preview.
