1. You can look at the EXIF data, and see if there is even any

Chances if it's in RAW format, it hasn't been messed with. If it's a .JPG, and has no EXIF data, it more than likely has been altered in some way.

6. If you own a Mac, you can see the EXIF info

in iPhoto, by highlighting the photo, going to photos > show extended information. Camera and software information are listed there.

As usual, things are generally easier on a Mac.

I thought so because of the person's head...it looked like light was hitting the person from two different directions.
