Halliburton "sold nuclear technology to Iran" (latest in 2005)

Senate hearing on foreign subsidiaries of U.S. companies dealing with Iran

Halliburton, the notorious U.S. energy company, sold key nuclear-reactor components to a private Iranian oil company called Oriental Oil Kish as recently as 2005, using offshore subsidiaries to circumvent U.S. sanctions. This clip shows Democratic Senators Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) and Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) grilling Sherry Williams, V.P. and Corporate Secretary for Halliburton about the company's deplorable ethics and questionable practices.

1. Anything before 2000 when Cheney was in charge?
Then we can surely question his patriotism and stance on terrorism.

6. So classic. While Cheney is pushing for war with Iran, his company
is helping to arm the same.

Iran Contra, still going strong.

2. I get so discouraged when when our wealthy destroy careers like Valerie Plame's
for this type of treason/terrorism. President Obama is not kidding when he says we need a broom to clean up the place....

10. Halliburton and Iran are old buddies--this goes back MANY years
I saw a critical article out of Iran where hard-line Iranians were criticizing the government (this goes back
some 6 years or more) for negotiating with Halliburton (Cayman islands) to develop some big project in Iran,
I forget what it was, natural gas, maybe? Halliburton CAYMAN ISLANDS!! I've never been there, but if it's much
bigger than a P.O. box and a 2.75% of a local lawyer's office, I'd be surprised--in any case, not likely to be
the Halliburton subsidiary most capable of providing logistics big enough to be of interest to Iran.

Also: on the Iranian resort island of Kish, a place with very relaxed immigration rules compared to the rest of
Iran, Dick Cheney still has a house (until recently, still in his name) I have Iranian friends who live here in
Europe, but with family back in Iran who also have houses on Kish. Foreigners with houses there must register,
and some of them have access to local registries. Kish is right across the Gulf from Dubai, where Halliburton
recently moved its world headquarters from Texas.
