Corporate "persons" should be subject to imprisonment and the Death Penalty |
|
They should have to face all the disadvantages of being a person as well as the advantages.

1. And taxes under the same rules that people pay them. If they don't |
|
care for that, then individual person taxes should be like the corporations pay only on what is left over after expenses.

2. Yes! And don't stop there. |

They should not be allowed to get property tax waivers. And lobbyists for corporate "persons" should have to stand in "Free Speech Zones".

No more separate rules for us and none for them.

4. Indeed They Should, Sir |
|
Malfeasance should result in the jailing of the board of directors and upper management en masse; lethal malfeasance, such as the killing of workers as a result of violation of safety standards, should result on conviction in the execution of the board and upper management.

5. Not just the board and management. Execute the corporation. |

Toyota sits on reports about brake issues and allows Americans to die. That is repeated murder with a depraved indifference stipulation. Toyota of America deserves the death penalty or life in prison.
BTW, I responded in another thread that you were a better person than me.

The problem with 'executing' the corporation, ie. dissolving it by revocation of its charter, etc., is that this does serious damage to workers and share-holders, who bear no responsibility in most cases for the criminal acts, which are always the result of management decisions, for which the board is responsible. Doing real harm to the persons of the agents of the corporation will do more to deter and to right criminal corporate behavior, with a minimum of damage to the mass of stake-holders in the enterprise.

7. And your view is probably more correct. |
|
Is a corporation with a new board the same corporate entity or an offspring of the previous entity? There really needs to be an attempt to properly define exactly what kind of entity a corporation truly is and then laws and regulations can be properly enforced.

8. With A New Board, Sir, It Would Remain The Same Legal Entity |
|
Board members are hired, like any other functionaries.
