Can ANYONE point to a SINGLE terrorist attack STOPPED by the TSA?
I asked this in a reply to another thread, but felt that the question needed to be asked again and louder.

Is there ANYONE out there who can point to a SINGLE terrorist attack that was stopped by the TSA and its intrusive prodding?

You would think that if their efforts were at all effective, then the Briefs Bomber would not have gotten on board, to start with.

It honestly seems to me that the efforts of the TSA are only good for one thing: keeping the American people afraid.

4. exactly
how many crimes do police prevent? no way to tell, right?

the TSA is one of those odd agencies that you only hear about when they fail.

11. if someone was trying to get something done, and tsa stopped them, you can
be damn well sure tsa would be broadcasting it and it would be all over the news.

14. You never know how many wrecks you avoid by driving safely.
I'm talking about people who were turned away or never tried to board because of the new stricter rules.

3. The TSA wasn't responsible for letting the undie bomber on the plane.
He was allowed on a plane in Lagos by Nigerian airport authorities and was screened again in Amsterdam by Dutch authorities. Whatever we might think of the TSA, that wasn't their fault.

8. The TSA is there mostly as a deterrent to terrorism and not so much actually catching a terrorist.
It's impossible to say how many acts of terrorism were not even attempted due to TSA being there.

10. Sort of like a tape recording of a dog barking in your house?
That kind of deterrent?

13. More like an alarm system.
There are ways around it, but it deters those who don't have the wherewithal.

Um, wait, no. The passengers actually stopped it.

Ah, but then there was Richard Reid.... oops, no. Passengers again. And the underwear bomber.... oh yeah. A passenger saved that one.

I guess you're right.

Can you tell us how many times that stopped a robbery?
