They weren't PEOPLE he killed--they were SYMBOLS!
Get it? Unlike us, these people didn't have parents, families, dreams, aspirations for the future--they were merely faceless representations of a system that must be sent a message from time to time. You can't even call them people, because as far as you know, they don't have personalities like we do--because how can something like The Government or The Corporations have a human identity? Thus, it wasn't selfish, cold-blooded murder at all--it was a courageous political statement! You see?

And if you feel Joe Stack was in anyway justified in doing what he did, congratulations, you're officially a sociopath.

2. So he sent a message....
...and, yeah, he was sick. But there are those of us who can understand his anger an frustration with the fucking IRS. That does not mean we agree with what he did.

Sheesh...UnR

5. And I can understand Klebold and Harris's anger and frustration at being bullied...
But people who convert that anger into planned-out premeditated acts of murderous revenge on people only tangentially related to their rage--those are people who think there's no life on Earth as important as their own.

Ie, Sociopaths.

6. Stack had no business being upset at the IRS.
That's like being a crook and then being mad at the police.

13. I don't know whether to laugh or cry at your response....
...if you think the IRS is fair to taxpayers in any manner whatsoever, you have been doing as follows:

The IRS, IMO, is the USA's version of Nazi Gestapo.

3. You mean a sociopath like the people who think civilian victims in Afghanistan
are "regretable collateral damage in a necessary and justified war"?

8. Like people who honestly believe that murder is the only way to stop more murder.
Killing anyone is pretty much wrong. Just because it happens every day, or because it's often done in self-defense, or because it's done under the banner of military warfare doesn't make it any better.

4. Yip, it's funny how wingnuts can't get the concept of SYMBOL about a FABRIC-FLAG, but
do their violence against people they see as SYMBOLS. And they see FABRIC (flag) as the actual FREEDOM, yet see the exercise of Constitutional rights (civil disobedience, flag burning, speech) as THREATENING. This "symbol" thing just messes them up!1

7. get off it, already.
I haven't heard one person here say that what he did was 'justified', but some are saying that it isn't that difficult to understand his frustration. Many DUers have said some of the same things he did.

Understanding someone's frustration does not = condoning killing people. huuuuge leap there friend.
