Pulling Obama down
BY MIKE THOMPSON
FREE PRESS CARTOONIST

I suppose military-types would call it collateral damage. By bringing Washington to a grinding halt, Republicans have tanked President Barack Obama's poll numbers. Admittedly, Obama's leadership skills have proven to be less stellar than his oratory skills, but there's no way for Republicans to carpet bomb Obama's agenda without causing substantial harm to the economy.

You have to wonder at what price victory? Inaction is exactly what America doesn't need at time when the nation is teetering on the precipice of another Great Depression.

1. No price is too high
Republicans want back in no matter the cost so they can continue to service their corporate masters.

3. Ummmm......
"Republicans have tanked President Barack Obama's poll numbers"?

Bullshit. Obama's corporate loyalties and his repeated failure to embrace and promote progressive policies have certainly contributed to those tanking poll numbers.
