Still lovin' that Conservapedia
Edited on Sat Apr-28-07 01:51 AM by krispos42
Looks like they finally stopped copying the Wikipedia layout.

Clicking the "Random" feature, I found these gems about France:

France is also renowned for its cuisine and its wines. Good food is highly valued in France.

That is the sum total of French cuisine information.

In March 2003, France was one of over a hundred nations that did not participate in the alliance that liberated Iraq, with its aim of removing the Baathist regime of the dictator Saddam Hussein, though France had committed substantial forces to the First Gulf War. French forces did, however, participate in the war in Afghanistan, and suffered casualties in the fighting.

French military victories under Napoleon? Not mentioned. France in the Great War? Not mentioned. France in World War Two? Not mentioned. France in Northern Africa? Not mentioned. France in Viet Nam? Not mentioned.

And in trying to make France look bad (instead of smart, ethical, foresightful, lawful, moral, etc.) about Iraq, they put in France in with the majority of nations in the world. Oopsie!

The caption for this gif, is, I kid you not..

An animated French flag!

Yay! Yay! I made an animated gif! I earned a biscuit! :eyes:

And the article about pornography is so Christian it's not funny. Except to us! :-)

1. And donuts support terrorists and Saddam Hussein
I did not know this...

Donuts and Freedom

In 2006, Tim Horton's Donuts Limited opened up a store in Kandahar, Afghanistan, to provide quality coffee and donut products to NATO Forces stationed there. Since then, the double double may also be recognized as NATO Standard.

Dunkin' Donuts no longer carries the French cruller variety due to the donut's support of terrorist activities and Saddam Hussein's switching to the Euro. These Donuts can still be found at Honeydew Donuts however, a known Communist sympathizer.

Wow, I'm sure glad Conservapedia was there to rescue me from the Liberal Media!!!!!!

2. Makes the McDonaldses in France hard to explain.
Unless that is more a result of their not fighting the proper wars than their love of fine cuisine...

And I know conservatives hate science and facts, but what do they have against the English language? What the heck does "In March 2003, France was one of over a hundred nations that did not participate in the alliance that liberated Iraq, with its aim of removing the Baathist regime of the dictator Saddam Hussein, though France had committed substantial forces to the First Gulf War." mean? Literally, it means that Iraq's aim was removing the Baathist regime of the dictator Saddam Hussein. One would already have to know the details to understand what that sentence meant. Nice work for a supposed encyclopedia.

Not to mention, "liberated" must not mean what they think it means. Unless that's sarcasm, in the way a burglar would talk about liberating jewelry from someone's house.

3. The edits are the best, they are on Wiki too
http://www.conservapedia.com/index.php?title=France&diff=95773&oldid=95730

At its height, the French Empire rivaled the British Empire, with colonies in every corner of the world. It is now considered to be a very weak country, with very little in terms of military. The capital city is Paris, often called the "City of Lights" due to its renown for a center of learning and philosophy. The focus of France seems to be "intelligence", and "culture", whereas the only way to become a successful country is to have military might.

In March of 2003 A.D., France was one of over a hundred nations that did not participate in the alliance that liberated <[Iraq>], with its aim of removing the <[Baathist>] regime of the dictator <[Saddam Hussein>], despite evidence that Saddam Hussein was producing chemical and biological weapons which were found and destroyed by US troops.<http://www.counterpunch.org/dixon06172004.html,/> French forces did, however, participate in the war in Afghanistan, and suffered casualties in the fighting <http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2004/oef.casualties/,/>

France is a country in Western Europe, about 3,500 miles from the <[United States>]. At its height it rivalled the British Empire and had lots of collonies. It continued to be a strong presence in Acadamia and has been the birthplace of lots of scholars. It remains a strong presence in the <[European Union>], and is at odds lots with the <[United Kingdom>] on issues of EU policy. The capital city is Paris, but the city is dirty and lots of americans don't like how rude people are their.

n March of 2003 A.D., France did not participate in the alliance to remove the <[Baathist> regime in Iraq notable for human rights violations prompting heavy backlash and criticism from the American people, and causing them to question whether France's status as a U.S. ally had been permanently undermined. Lots of americans don't like France and think that it is a weak country.

4. Oh my
Um, don't people realize that France is a nuclear power, with ICBMs and long-range bombers and ballistic-missile submarines? Advanced fighter jets, an aircraft carrier or two...

Wasn't the US frigate USS Stark severely damaged by a couple of French-built Exocet missiles?

'Collonies'

6. This previous version of Bob Dole's life is pretty funny
Bob Dole, born July 22nd, 1923, was a US Congressman from Kansas and a presidential candidate in the 1996 US elections. Recently, Bob Dole has been captured by a ic collegiate southern boy who has cloned Bob Dole's exact proportions and hidden demeanors and agendas in a devastating robot who nearly killed one third of the entire human population. This event led to what was known is "The Dole Wars."

The Beginning of the End

After his landslide defeat in the 1996 Presidential Election, US Senator Bob Dole was heartbroken. He felt for sure that his rampant third-person perspective on everything would convince America that he had what it took. So heartbroken was he, that he neglected to notice a collegiate southern boy sneak behind him with a fishing net. Captured by the boy, Bob Dole was helpless, and dragged off into a back alley.

Strapped to a chair, Bob Dole had his exact proportions and brain patterns copied from his body and put into the shape of a robot. Amazed at his replica, Dole was soon struck with fear as he realized that his inner desire for male genitalia had been amplified and reversed in the robot clone. With his lust for thrusting his penis surfacing, the Bob Dole Robot broke free of his restraints, and escaped to wreak havoc.

5. Gaaack!!
What atrocious writing! I wonder if they've discovered spell checker, yet.
If they really expect this crap to be ready for public consumption...oh, wait! It is up there for public consumption. While I realize that even gifted writers and historians can and do make verbal, spelling and punctuation gaffes from time to time, I know of none who would allow such unpolished mental vomit to reach the light of day, let alone put it in a place that has any traffic at all.

7. Conservatives and Porn...LOL
"Due to a series of liberal decisions beginning with the Warren Court, pornography is aggressively sold and distributed in the United States without meaningful law enforcement."

Muahahaha! That's right! Before the Warren Court, there was hardly any erotic illustrations or litterature anywhere in the world, and what little existed was swiftly confiscated by the local authorities. It was a time of great purity and innocence, where young Caucasian men and women considered hand-holding mildly risque, and anything beyond second base before marriage was understood to make Jesus cry. And then those pervy LIBERALS took over...

Don't these people realize how ridiculous they are?

"(The insurgents') efforts have destabilized the country enough that some consider Iraq to be headed towards civil war."

SOME consider Iraq to be HEADED towards civil war???

Maybe you should demand a share of whatever ad revenue they earn. Or at least a thank you card.

I give this thing another 12 months before it completely falls apart or is largely abandoned. Even the editors themselves can't seem to make any sense of how to write a biased Encyclopedia.

Apparently, all articles must be censored of anything potentially damaging/embarassing to Conservative Republicans, which I guess explains why Donald Rumsfeld merited a two sentence write-up!

Oh,and then this other thing. There's this beautiful, big symbol of freedom and hope; standing in the Harbor of New York. Wonder who gave that to us???

The FRENCH NATION.

Damn; some people really piss me off sometimes.

Sorry, just wanted to say that. Preaching to the choir; I know.
