Better than your average day at the beach:
Watch for the message, IMPEACH CHENEY, THEN BUSH, tomorrow, Saturday, April 28th over Pinellas County. We encourage folks who see the plane to call Adam Smith at the St. Pete Times (727) 893-8241 or WMNF 813 239 9663 " Hey, there's a plane that says IMPEACH and I agree!"

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Friday, April 27, 2007

Impeachment Banner to Fly over Pinellas on Saturday

April 27. 2007 - Pinellas County Progressive Democrats will participate with over 200 activist groups across the nation on National Impeachment Day, Saturday, April 28th, by renting a plane whose banner will declare IMPEACH CHENEY, THEN BUSH - WWW.A28.ORG.

For a list of planned national activities around the country, visit http://www.a28.org.

From approximately 11 A.M. to 2:30 P.M, the plane's banner will be displayed above the St. Petersburg Pier, the Greenthumb Festival, Seminoles Wagon Wheel Flea Market, Clearwater and Countryside Malls, Oldsmar Flea Market and Pinellas County beaches from Tarpon Springs to St. Petersburg Beach.

The call for impeachment will also be heard on the ground. Three other Florida gatherings are planned for Saturday, April 28th; one in Tampa from 10 AM Noon at the corner of Dale Mabry and Martin Luther King, and another in Clearwater from 1 PM and 3 PM at the corner of U.S. Hwy 19 and Gulf Blvd. Folks are also traveling to Miami in protest of President Bush's appearance at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus commencement exercises.

Congressman Dennis Kucinich recently introduced Articles of Impeachment against Vice President Dick Cheney for manipulation of intelligence on weapons of mass destruction, his long standing insistence on a connection between Iraq and al-Qaeda, and accuses Mr. Cheney of working to move the U.S. closer to an attack on Iran, absence the evidence that Iran poses an imminent threat to the United States.

While some believe that impeachment would cause too much stress to a nation at war, others, like the Pinellas County Progressive Democrats and millions nationwide, believe that serious crimes have been committed by this Administration, and impeachment is a legal, Constitutionally mandated first step necessary to begin to reign in unprecedented executive power and to restore the foundations of law, justice and moral reasoning so desperately needed at this moment.
