posting to the newspaper about the upcoming health care summit at Blair House:
"...Obama's health care "summit", it is a waste of time. He's looking for political cover, not options. Democrats have buried every alternative bill in committee, then accused the Republicans of not having any ideas."
It's a new line for this guy, and like everything else he posts it comes without backup. Yeesh.

1. Should be easy enough for him to gainsay the Democrats |
|
He could just name one idea the Republicans have come up with on health care reform. One idea? Any idea? Hello?

they controlled the government for 2001 to 2006, they passed what they want us to have - nothing
Well they did pass a tort reform bill, and i see how much that saved me.

3. I've said almost the same thing for the last couple of weeks |

At this point, the House can blame the Senate for putting together a crappy bill, and the Senate can blame the House for not adopting it whole. Either way, the Democrats in Congress get blamed for the failure of HCR.
Along comes President Obama with a new idea: Let's pretend to have a 'summit' with the Repukes, they can be seen to be hypercritical of the concept, and the public will blame the failure on them. Since there are dozens of Rethugs who would like to take the 'credit' for killing HCR, this would seem to be workable.
