Poll question: If Dems screw up health care reform, they can't win in Nov., if they get it right, they can't lose
And by get it right, I mean a robust public option or Medicare expansions--gains so simple anyone could see how they are a major step forward, not the Senate bill that forces us to buy private insurance.

And not incidentally, if they fuck this up, it will kick out any last pretense that we have a functioning democracy if they can't legislate the most popular and efficient of the possible policy options and choose the more costly corrupt one instead.

1. don't worry- they won't get it right.
anything they pass doesn't take effect until 2014, anyway...
and the jobs situation is NOT going to improve to any great degree by november.

it's going to be an electoral bloodbath.

3. unless they institute a single-payer program that takes affect the next day...
they are going to lose.
and they AREN'T going to institute single-payer anything.

"winning' or 'losing' an election has nothing to do with it. when they leave office, they'll have a much more lucrative lobbying career ahead of them.
