I suspect there are a couple of DU trolls who are a parody of a liberal. I also think there are a handful who like to pick stupid arguments that they are not sincere about. They could create confusion for the unaware.

The bottom line, though: This is an internet message board where appearances can be deceptive, and anyone can pretend to be someone they aren't. The key is to take each post on it's own merit, and rely on trusted sources of information (reliable links, etc).
