Closing arguments are expected tomorrow, Thursday, in the marathon, lemon-home case between Perry Homes and Bob & Jane Cull. The Culls would greatly appreciate it if you can to come to the court house in Fort Worth in support:
Background:
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=102453061To make a 10 year story short, the Culls, an elderly couple in Fort Worth, bought a new home from Bob Perry. Quickly they found it was defective. They won in arbitration, something that is suppose to be a final judgement, but Perry appealed the ruling to the Texas Supreme Court which ruled in his favor and returned the case to a civil court. All lower courts refused to overturn the arbitration, but the Supreme Court came to Perry's defense. Perry had donated large amounts of money to the Justices, all Republican. The civil trial is coming to an end on Thursday.
Location:
The case is in Judge Tom Lowe's 236th District Court, which is on the 7th floor of the Tim Curry Justice Center, 401 W. Belknap in downtown Fort Worth. Basically go into downtown on 4th, right on Commerce about 4-5 blocks to Belknap, left on Belknap to 401, which is on the south side (left) of Belknap at the corner of Taylor Street and Belknap. Within a block or two in each direction are both open and garage (by far most expensive) parking. There are meters on the street but you will have to feed them during the day. Security in the Justice Center is almost identical to air travel (including removing your shoes).
